Title:
Massachusetts Farm House
Description:
Massachusetts Farm House model. 1685 Townsend-Sweetser Lynnfield.
Title located on the top of the base.
The Townsend-Sweetser Farm House in Massachusetts in located in Wakefield, right on the edge on Lynnfield, which is the location given on the base of the WPA model. Both Wakefield and Lynnfield are located in the Massachusetts county of Middlesex, and is believed that town boarder changes are the reason for the difference in recorded locations of the house. The house is named the Daniel Sweetser House due to its acclaimed architect and resident, and was built before the year 1795. The house is a two and a half story building made of timber and has two interior chimneys. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989, and has remained on of the better preserved houses in the area. Some changes have been made to the house including the structure of the roof, but the framework remains the same.
