Hannah Blanche Monroe lived from 1914 to 1998. On October 10, 2008 we publish a few generations of her famly history in Ahnentafel Format to commemorate the 94th anniversary of her birth.. [Ahnentafel lists a person as number one - father as double that number and mother as double plus one.

Hannah was born 10 OCT 1914 in Sylvania, Columbia Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. She married Richard White Orr 29 JUN 1935 in Reading,Pennsylvania. Hannah died 22 APR 1998 in Johnstown, Cambria County, Pennsylvania, at age 83.

Obituary: MUNRO Hannah M. ORR, 83, of Johnstown, PA died April 22, 1998 at the Arbutus Park Manor in Johnstown, PA. She was born October 10, 1914 in Sylvania, PA, daughter of the late George Henry and Myrtle (Harvey) Munro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Orr, in 1976. Mrs. Orr was a graduate of Troy High school and Mansfield State Teachers College. She taught for many years in Pennsylvania schools, retiring form Reading School System, Reading, PA. She is survived by daughter, Jo Ann (Paul) Feeley of Johnstown; two grandchildren, Pam Keller, Etters, PA and Paula Coe, Charleston, SC; great-grandchildren, Adam and Erin Keller; a brother Archie Munro of Roy PA; a sister, Janice Saxton, also of Troy; several nieces and nephews. A private funeral and interment service was held in Johnstown on April 24, 1998 in charge of the Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary Inc.

George was born 31 JAN 1885 in Sylvania, Columbia Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. He married Grace Smith 23 DEC 1901. George was divorced from Grace Smith BEF 1909. He married Myrtle Alta Harvey 24 NOV 1909 in Wellsboro, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. George died 11 FEB 1952 at age 67. His body was interred FEB 1952 in Glenwood Cemetery, Troy, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.

Myrtle was born 24 DEC 1891 in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. She resided in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania 1908. dau. Claude

She married George Henry Monro 24 NOV 1909 in Wellsboro, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Myrtle died 11 FEB 1979 in Troy Borough, Bradford County, Pennsylvania, at age 87. Her body was interred FEB 1979 in Glenwood Cemetery, Troy, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.

George was born 31 AUG 1838 in Towanda, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. He married Josephine Embrey 25 DEC 1879 in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. George died 05 OCT 1902 in Sylvania, Columbia Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania, at age 64. George P. Monro Prominent Man Dies Suddenly

. George P. Monro, one of the prominent men of Sylvania borough, died quite suddenly early Sunday morning, October 5 (1902). From boyhood he was frail in body, and suffered much all through life, but with a cheerful courage he took up the burdens of life and was identified with all the public concerns of the community. He was counselor, adviser, friend to many people; and owing to his skill in writing and judgment in affairs, his advice was much sought after. For many years he was village postmaster and at one time and another held every office in the borough. He held the office of justice of the peace for a number of terms, and was one of the village justices at the time of his death. He was a prominent Odd Fellow and for a term held the office of deputy grand master. He was identified with Sylvan lodge for more than a quarter of a century, and was one of its charter members. He was quiet and unobtrusive in manner. He was well-versed in standard English literature, as well as in the literature of the day. He was a kind husband, a loving father, a staunch friend, a wise counselor. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, two step-sons, three sons and a daughter, besides a numerous circle of relatives and friends. He had entered his sixty-fifth year a short time before his death. The funeral services were held in the Presbyterian church and were conducted by the Rev. A. G. Cameron. Interment was in the Card cemetery. Sylvan lodge, in a body, attended the funeral, and the ritual of the order was used at the grave.

His body was interred 07 OCT 1902 in Card Cemetery, Sylvania, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. Bert Strange diary records attending funeral of George Monro on Oct. 7, 1902.

5 Josephine Embrey #11019

Josephine was born 25 SEP 1853 in Fauquier County, Virginia. She married George Peter Monro 25 DEC 1879 in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Josephine died NOV 1914 at age 61.

Claude registered to vote 1946 in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Claude died 01 OCT 1956 in Covington Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, at age 84. CLAUDE W. HARVEY Claude W. Harvey, 84, of Covington RD died on October 1, 1956 after an extended illness. He is survived by his wife, Minnie Cleveland Harvey at home; one son, Leslie Harvey, Covlngton RD; 3 daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Monte, Troy, Pa.; Mrs. Ralph Kendrick, Mansfield, RD: Mrs. William Payne, Covington, RD; brother, Paul V. Harvey; 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. The services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Shaw and Robena Funeral Home The Rev. Glenn Dewey will officiate and burial will be in the State Road Cemetery.

His body was interred OCT 1956 in State Road Cemetery, Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.

7 Minnie Ursula Cleveland #4613

She married Claude William Harvey. Minnie was born 28 JUN 1873 in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Minnie was listed as a daughter in Elias Smith Cleveland's household on the 1880 Census in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Minnie, as Claude William Harvey's wife, resided with him 76, in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania 1908. Page 420

Minnie registered to vote 1946 in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Minnie registered to vote 1958 in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Minnie died 18 FEB 1966 in Covington Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, at age 92.

Obituary: Mrs. Minnie Harvey Mrs. Minnie E. Harvey, 92, of Covington Rd 1, died Friday, Feb. 18, 1966 at her home. She was a member of the State Road Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Monro, of Sylvania; Mrs. Ralph Kendrick, of Mansfield RD 1, and Mrs. William Payne, of Covington RD 1; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. The funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday at Shaw and Robena's, 18 N. Main St., Mansfield. Burial was in State Road Cemetery. The Rev. Glenn Dewey officiated.

Her body was interred FEB 1966 in State Road Cemetery, Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.

Peter was listed as the head of a family on the 1840 Census in Columbia Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. Peter registered to pay taxes 1845 in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Peter was listed as the head of a family on the 1860 Census in Sylvania, Columbia Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. Peter died 13 FEB 1888 in Sylvania, Columbia Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania, at age 79. His body was interred FEB 1888 in Gladding Cemetery, Columbia Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.

12 William Penn Harvey #3934

William was born 12 MAR 1845 in Roxbury, Delaware County, New York. Whitney Family book gives his birth as 12 March 1839 at Florence, NY.

William served in the military 12 SEP 1861 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. He married Hannah Philena Welch 9 MAY 1868 in Mansfield, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. William was listed as the head of a family on the 1870 Census in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Family includes William age 22, Hannah age 19, and Vivian age 1 all born PA.

He resided in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania 1908. Farmer, Mansfield PO

His body was interred FEB 1910 in State Road Cemetery, Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. William Harvey, son of Isaac and Sarah (Jewell) Harvey, the former living (1894) the latter deceased, was born March 12, 1845, in Delaware county, N.Y., coming to Tioga county, Pa. in 1851. May 1, 1869, he married at Mansfield, Pa., Hannah Welch who was born March 3, 1847, in Sullivan township.; her father Hiram Welch is still living (1894) but her mother, Philena Dike , is deceased. To this marriage the following children have been born; Vivon L., Claud W., Paul V., Blanch A., and Pearl J. Comrade Harvey enlisted Sept. 12, 1861, at Philadelphia, Pa., as a private in Co H, 106th Pa. V. I. Sept. 17, 1862, he was in hospital at Harper's Ferry, Va., about one month with typhoid fever. Feb. 16th, 1863, he was honorably discharged at Alexandria, Va., on surgeon's certificate of disability, and reenlisted Sept., the year following at Avon, N.Y., in Co K, 15th N.Y. Eng. With the exception of the battle of Ball's Bluff, Va., his services consisted of scouting, skirmishing, guard and garrison duty. July 1865 he was granted a final honorable discharge at Elmira, N.Y. His father, Isaac N., was a member of 188th Pa. V. I., and was wounded in service. He had five brothers in the war, John N. and George W. (see book for regiments), Edwin A. and James D. Another brother, James D. was wounded in service. His wife's brother, Samuel Welch, served in Co C, 50th, N.Y. Eng. Comrade Harvey has been school director and treasurer of the school board of Sullivan township, he is by occupation a farmer and may be addressed at Mainesburg, Pa. (Presidents, Soldiers, Statesmen, 1895, p. XCVIII)

Hannah was born 3 MAR 1847 in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. She married William Penn Harvey 9 MAY 1868 in Mansfield, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Hannah, as William Penn Harvey's wife, resided with him in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania 1908. Farmer, Mansfield PO

Hannah died 16 SEP 1930 in Covington, Covington Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, at age 83. Her body was interred SEP 1930 in State Road Cemetery, Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.

14 Elias Smith Cleveland #3931

Elias was born 12 FEB 1829 in Sterling (Johnson), Lamoille County, Vermont. In the Census of 1860, Elias was listed as a head of household in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Elias was a farmer. His real property was worth $1600 and his personal property worth $200. Fred, Jane, and Harriet Crofoot were also in his household. I believe Elias to be married to Ursula at this time, but she is not listed in the household nor is his child Raymond born in 1855. Needs explanation.--- Fay Tiller (Morgan) records indicate he married Ursula in 1869. Could birthdate of Raymond be wrong?

Elias was listed as the head of a family on the 1870 Census in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. He married Lucinda Almena Welch AFT 1875. Elias was listed as the head of a family on the 1880 Census in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Elias died 1915 at age 86. His body was interred 1915 in Gray Cemetery, Covington Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.

15 Harriet Ursula Sumner #22268

Ursula was born 17 FEB 1840 in Covington Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. She married Elias Smith Cleveland 12 APR 1869 in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. This marriage date (1869) has to be an error.

Ursula died 7 MAY 1875 in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, at age 35. Ursula died of consumption (tuberculosis).

Her body was interred MAY 1875 in Frost Settlement Cemetery, Covnington Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.
