Joyce,
For your 1900 museum or for inclusion in the Chemung County page, this photo has many old names I recall my grandmother mentioning from the area.
The attached photo is students at the Pine City School in 1909.  On the back the names are all listed and I have typed them here.  My grandmother is Jessie Warner, #5 in the photo.  She was 10 at the time.  I also have a 1912 Pine City School photo but there are no names with it.

I was mailed a copy of the photo from 1909 taken at the Pine City School. It is very interesting as three of my family members are in the photo. My father is  Alfred Coloney(#22), my aunt is Mazie Coloney (#13) (name Coloney spelled wrong) and my other aunt # 21 Alta Coloney. Thanks for all your work to put this information together.

I found your site while surfing the web for Ziebach Family info. I was surprised to find this picture.

Listed on the photo were #16 Frances Ziebach and #26 Stanley Ziebach. They were the children of Frank and Daisy PUGH Ziebach. Frank was native to South Dakota.

My grandfather Eugene Ziebach (age 94) lives in Mobile. Frank and Daisy were his uncle and aunt. Stanley and Frances were first cousins. Frank moved to New York in the early 1900s, I believe to work as an agent for Wells Fargo. He did not stay too long and returned to SD. Eventually he moved to Los Angeles for health reasons.

Frances moved to LA and became a legal secretary. She was born 6/20/1900 and died in the late 1980s. She never married.

Stanley also moved to LA and eventually Pasadena, California. He operated a heating and air conditioning business. He was born 12/21/1902 and died in July of 1984. He married Lillian Maurer but had no children.

Frank's brother William Edgar moved south. W. E.  was in the newspaper business, like he and Frank's father Francis Marion Ziebach. Incidentally Ziebach County in South Dakota is named for Francis Marion (noted political figure during the territorial period).

I hope this is of interest to you. You certainly have a great site. Thank you for putting so much effort into it.

Eugene Ziebach, III.
