The Following note was sent in by a guest in July
2000:
iT WAS A CHURCH. I CAN'T REMEMBER IF IT WAS PRESBYTERIAN OR BAPTIST. THE TOWN WAS TOO SMALL TO SUPPOrT so many churches so they all used the Methodist church which was the newest. This old church was made into a gym for the high school. All the basketball games were played there. MY DAD AND A FRIEND BOUGHT THE LOT AND BUILDING AFTER I WAS MARRIED AND MOVED AWAY DAD GAVE US A COUPLE FLAGSTONES FROM THE STEPS HE DIED IN 1961 AND I DON'T THINK HE OWNED IT THEN. MY NAME IS HELEN ROSS STURDEVANT. |
