Barbara shared a big place in her heart for animals and cared for her own as well as strays in need of love. Age 92 of Apollo Beach Florida formerly of Elmira, NY, died on Tuesday July 5, 2011 in Sun City, FL. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Barbara (Ernest) Kiemle of Red Creek, NY, Jean Huggins of Apollo Beach, FL; grandchildren, Cindy (Mark) Malchoff, William (Karen) Kiemle, David (Sandra) Kiemle, Tammy Huggins, Timothy (Wendy) Kiemle and Bart Huggins; along with 8 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Maida was predeceased by her husband L. G. Weston Brown in 2003. She worked at Remington Rand Corp. and Westinghouse Electric Corp. While at Westinghouse Maida worked on the Lunar Camera Tube Program which was used to televise pictures of mans first steps on the moon. She was chosen to greet and present an award to Astronaut, Hank Hartsfield and in return he presented her with a signed picture and letter of thank you from him. She loved cooking and feeding family and friends. Bertha is survived by sons, Richard (Rhonda) Peterson of North Carolina, Mike (Rene) Butler of Elmira, Scott (Tammy) Butler of Elmira Heights and Glenn W. Butler Jr. of Elmira; daughters, Mary Butler of Elmira and Rebecca Butler of Elmira Heights; 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Bertha was a United States Navy veteran of WW II. She loved doing crossword puzzles, crocheting, and reading, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. (John Sr.) Gleckner of Webb Mills; 14 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren; and several  nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Sherman H.Cady in 1966 as well as 7 brothers and 4 sisters. Margaret was a hairdresser for 50 years and was the first hairdresser in Webb Mills, NY. A Charter Member of the Webb Mills Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, she also was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star Rebecca Lodge, and a member of the Hair   Dresser's Association. Betty was a member of Southside Baptist Church of Elmira, she retired from Sears and Roebuck, and for many years was a dedicated employee of Great American Grocery Stores. Betty loved being with and around people; she was truly a "people person." Kleiner of Elkland, PA, William C. and Vivian L. Carpenter of Monroe, MI, Lillian D. and Alan D. Comfort of Pine City, NY, Merle and Gayle Carpenter of Elmira, NY and Erma and Neal Corey of Elmira Heights, NY with whom she resided; three brothers, several grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Age 90, formerly of East Ave., Elmira, died Thursday, August 7, 2008, at Bethany Manor. She was predeceased by her husband, Grover in 1983; and is survived by her children, Helen (Claude) O'Dell, Elaine (Harvey) Rosekrans, Joann (LaVern) Mallacoccio and Edward (Cheryl) Stedge, all of Elmira, Linda (Charles) Burge of Beaver Dams, Anna Neily and Robert Stedge, both of SC, Grover (Debbie) Stedge of PA, Sandra (William) Keegan of FL, and Mark (Sue) Stedge of MD. Helen has many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira, on Sunday, August 10th, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Her funeral and committal services will follow at 8 p.m. Rev. Robert Adkins will officiate. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. Pierce, FL; son, Frederick (Jackie) Usack of Milligan College, TN; 20 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elizabeth Lee of Long Island. Marie was a great mother who enjoyed cooking and her large family. TERWILLIGER, 65, of Horseheads, NY, died unexpectedly Tuesday, February 4, 1997.  She is survived by her husband, Merrill “Twig” Terwillinger; son Stephen Terwillinger of Nashville, TN; daughters, Carol VanGaasbeck of Columbia cross Roads, PA and Marilyn Mullen of Big Flats, NY; five grandchildren.  Funeral services were held February 7 at the Barrett Funeral Home in Horseheads with the Rev. Predeased by son and daughter. Violet was a former employer of Westinghouse and a  Union Stewart.
