Age 57, of Elmira, NY, died unexpectedly on January 15, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elmira. Ronald was born in Elmira on February 13, 1955, son of Robert and Theresa (Szerszen) Webster. Ronald was a graduate of Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, PA, earning a BA in Science. He was the recipient of numerous medals as a gymnast and worked recently at Kohl's in Horseheads as a stock clerk. Ronald was an avid outdoorsman, loved to spend time with his family and look after the needs of his mother. Ronald is survived by his mother, Theresa of Elmira; sisters, Michelene (Andrew) Woodward of Ogdensburg, NY and Kathleen (Todd) Holmquist of Elmira; brothers, Kenneth (Phyllis) Webster of Horseheads, NY and Robert (significant other, Stephanie) Webster of Margaretville, NY; several nieces and nephews; best buddy, his dog "Webby." Ronald was predeceased by his father, Robert. A funeral service will be held for Ronald on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 4 p.m., at the James D. –DOROTHY JUNE LEFORGE, 87, of Athens, Pa., passed away peacefully at her
home with her family beside her on Thursday, February 1, 2018. She was born
on June 18, 1930 in Vassar, Mich., the daughter of the late Harold and
Claricy (Wells) Weeks. Dorothy'ss greatest joy in life was her family. She
was a loving mother and grandmother. She was employed with Fisher Body for
seven years as a secretary and then left the work force to be a stay at home
mom, raising her two children. After her children were grown, she went back
to work for 10 years with the Lutheran Social Services as a caregiver, prior
to retiring. While living in Michigan, she played piano and was a Sunday
School Teacher at her church. Dorothy loved cooking and she became the
families "Recipe Keeper" for everyone's favorite meals. She is predeceased
by her husband, Robert M. LeForge in 1997, and granddaughter, Tammy
Donaldson. Dorothy is survived by her loving children, son, Randy LeForge of
Waverly, N.Y., and daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Joe "Buck" Price of
Erin, N.Y., grandchildren, Joseph Price, Sara and Jeremy Rucker, Sharon and
Chris Collins, Hannah and Justin Soule, Cliff Price, Ted and Sabrina Price,
and Corey and Jen Thomas, and great-grandchildren, Jeremy Rucker II, Joshua
Rucker, Andy Rucker, Angelina Rucker, Noah Price, Abby Price, Lilly Price,
Ben Price, Nolan Soule, Logan Collins, Anahita Price, CJ Price, Layla Price,

–ERNESTINE A. ISAACS, 82 of Horseheads and formerly a longtime resident of
Breesport-N. Chemung Rd. Lowman passed away April 18, 2015. She was
predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Keith Isaacs in 2007 and more
recently her son, Terry and brother, Charles Weir. Ernestine is survived by
her daughters, Kathleen Isaacs of Elmira Heights, Susan (Gary) Jerzak of
Horseheads and Cheryl (Paul) Passanante of Elmira; nine grandchildren; 24
great-grandchildren; 10 great great-grandchildren; sister, Yvonne Weir;
sisters-in-law, Joanne Weir and Mary (Bob) Walb; brother-in-law, Dean
Isaacs; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Ernestine worked for the Board
of Elections in the Town of Baldwin for many years. She retired after 20
years as a unit clerk from St. Joseph's Hospital in Elmira. She was also a
member and past matron of Eastern Star Excelsior Southern Light Chapter

WEISKOPF Genevieve G. Watts
Died January 2, 2012 at Elcor Nursing Home at the age of
92. Born November 16, 1919 in Elmira, NY to Raymond and Lulu Weiskopf. She was
predeceased by her parents, devoted husband, Russell "Pete"; son, Dr.
William Watts; brother, Harold. Genevieve is survived by son, Edwin
"Lee" (Christine) Watts; daughter-in-law, Diane (Alan) Rosebury;
grandchildren, Edwin (Leticia) Watts, Lisa (Mark) Callahan, Brian (Melissa
Watts, David (Jen) Watts, Timothy (Jessica) Watts, and Benjamin Watts; brother,
Donald Weiskopf; and sister, Marjorie Smith; along with several
great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Genevieve was a devoted helpmate to
Russell on the farm, to whom she was married to for over 50 years. Family and

WELLMAN Marian Joyce (Wellman) Payne
Died on Wed., Jan. 11, 2012. She died peacefully at home and will be lovingly remembered and missed by family and friends. Marian was born in Jamestown, NY to Edna (Warn) & Gerald Wellman. Marian graduated from Southside High School in 1952. She served as a Sunday School teacher of women and children, pianist, organist, and church clerk at the Maple Avenue Baptist Church, of which she was a charter member and where she has been a faithful member for over 40 years. She also taught a ladies' Bible Study in her home. Marian was employed at the Eclipse Division of the Bendix Corporation and then worked at home for a number of years before serving at the Star-Gazette as a computer operator and programmer until her retirement. Marian (known to some as Joyce) will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Melvin Ray Payne of Elmira, to whom she was married for 56 years, and by her siblings, Clarence "Kelly" Wellman, Violet & (Rolland) Nielsen, and Elsie & (Norman) Rock. She is also survived by five of her children, Nancy & (Douglas) Richardson, Karen & (James) Petroski, Kathy & (Laurence) Flood, Stephen & (Joanne) Payne, and Glenn & (Laurie) Payne; sixteen grandchildren, Paul & (Clairissa) Richardson, David & (Melanie) Richardson, Nathan & Katrina Petroski, Melissa & (Nathan) Keller, Diane Petroski, Christen Richardson, Karalynn Payne, Kenneth Petroski, Matthew Richardson, Jeremiah Payne, Aaron Richardson, Jennifer Flood, Stephen Richardson, and Nissa Flood; five great grandchildren, Olivia, Micah, Cheyenne, Levi, and Cassidy. Marian was predeceased by her brother, Roger Wellman; son, Melvin "Little Melvin" Ray Payne; and granddaughter, Joanna Flood. Age 39, died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 3, 2012 and is now at peace. Terri was born on April 2, 1972 in Elmira, NY to Raymond and Betty (Fluman) Wenck. She was predeceased by her mother, Betty and two nieces, Stacie Lyn Elston and Heather German. Terri is survived by her husband, Bill Jones of Elmira Heights; father and step-mother, Ray and Peggy Wenck of Millport; brothers, Dale Cornish of Corning and Ray Lee Wenck of FL; sisters, Bunny (Rick) Crown, Diane (Darwin) German, Debbie (John) Pradon all of Horseheads, Wendy Wenck and Tina Jump of NJ; special nephew, Jason Cornish; along with several other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. WENDELA Betty Grace (Wendela) "Buela" Doane,
Age 65, of Elmira, NY, died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 25, 2013, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Elmira, NY. She is survived by her children, Lisa Ann (Steve) Mosier, Valerie Lynn (Todd) LaLonde; grandchildren, Sean, Sydney (Tyler Spencer), Spencer, Eddie Mosier. Mother, Nellie Wendela; brothers and sisters, Jane Seymour, Lillian (Daniel) Kennedy, Allen Wendela, Keith Wendela, Connie (Ray) Shadduck, and John (Valerie) Colunio; also special cousins, Alberta Ward, Raymond (Ron) Heffron; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Tom; and also her extended Doane family. Predeceased by her father, Eino Wendela; brother, Tom Wendela; special friend, Bev Burris. Member of the American Legion Post 443 and member of the Teamsters Union. She retired after 30 years of service from Chemung County Transit. She enjoyed her scratch off lottery tickets and a nice cold Bud Lite. She enjoyed being with family and friends and was especially proud of her daughters, grandchildren and sons-in-law. She was an awesome mother and grandmother and was a beautiful person. She was a good sport about doing anything with her grandchildren no matter how embarrassing or silly, and was affectionately known as Buela. On any given day you never knew what she had in "The Vault". She had a big heart and room in it for anyone. NELLIE M. ‘GRAM’ WENDELLA was born on March 28, 1926 in
Wyalusing, Pennsylvania. She was born to the late William and Emily
Benjamin. She passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015 in Horseheads, NY.
Preceding Nellie in death were her parents, William and Emily; husband,
Eino; son, Thomas; daughter, Betty Doane; sisters, Della, Martha, Helen, and
Rosie; brothers, Herbert, Ralph, and Sheldon; and granddaughter, Angela.
Nellie was also preceded in death by special nieces, nephews, other
relatives as well as many good friends. Nellie is survived by daughters,
Jane Seymour of Elmira, NY, Lillian (Dan) Kennedy of Enterprise, AL, Connie
(Ray) Shadduck of Elmira, NY; sons, Allen and Keith Wendela of Elmira, NY,
John (Valerie) Colunio of Elmira, NY; 21 grandchildren; 33

WERTMAN - GUSTIN Florence C. (Wertman) Age 91, died on
November 24, 2005 at the Oneonta Rehabilitation & Nursing Home in Oneonta,
NY. Florence was born on October 30, 1914 in Watsontown, PA, one of five
children to Ervin and Flora Wertman. Florence spent her childhood in
Pennsylvania before moving to Elmira, NY. She married Harold R. Gustin in 1937
and later moved to Manlius, NY, where they raised their six children before
retiring to Oklahoma in 1971. Florence spent the last 15 years living in New
York State with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold, in
1985; son, Lee, in 1988; brother, Charles Wertman; and three sisters, Kathryn
(Frank) Utter, Dorothy (George) Merle and Betty (Edward) Bennett. Florence is
survived by her sons, Richard Gustin and special friend, Theresa Kogut of
Fabius, NY and Dan Gustin of Stevenson Ranch, CA; daughters and sons-in-law,
Jean and Robert Lincoln of Maryland, NY, Nancy and Ralph Sanders of St.
Augustine, FL and Marsha and Lynn Ketcham of Manlius, NY; 16 grandchildren, 14
great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. Family and friends

WEST - PETTITT, Helen A.
Helen, 81, a longtime resident of Elmira died peacefully at the Chemung County
Nursing Facility on Tuesday, October 14, 2008, where she had been living for
some time. She was born on October 4, 1927, in Uleta, FL, the daughter of the
late Claud and Flossie (McDuffie) West. She was employed at Hallagan
Manufacturing Co. in Newark NY, making furniture. A family person, Helen made
quilts for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed puzzles and Bingo. Surviving are
a Son: Richard (Sandra) West, Elizabethtown, KY; and a Daughter: Sharon
VanLone, Odessa, NY. Six Grandchildren: Christopher (Pamela) West, FT Knox, KY;
Scott West, Elizabethtown, KY; Joy (Kerry) Joyce; Jeffrey Rockwell; and Robert
VanLone, Candor, NY; and Melissa Bellini, Columbus OH. Eleven
Great-Grandchildren: Bradley and George West, FT Knox, KY; Bryant, Kyla, and
Conor Joyce, Candor NY; Brandon (Allison), Germany, Alexi, Matthew, Sara, Emily

T. Kay Age 61, of Lowman, NY. She was born January 2, 1946 in Waverly, NY,
daughter of the late Charles and Nora Ruth (Humphrey) Westbrook, and died

DONALD R. WESTCOTT III, age 29, passed away Tuesday evening, August 23, 2016, at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester NY, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Don was raised in Knoxville PA. He is survived by his wife Christi Wescott; sons, Landen, age 9, and Owen, age 4; mother Nicole Ward Wescott; father Donald R. Wescott II, with his wife Denise; sisters, Jennie Wescott, Kellie Vargas, Tiffany Bonczek, Tamera Wescott and Rebecca Wescott; father-in-law and mother-in-law Edward and Sara Lattin; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. Don was a "jack of all trades", loved to play computer games and work out #madgainz. A good husband and father he was very close to his two boys. Homer W. "Bill" Wheeler, 85, of Elmira, NY, died November 14,
1994 at Bethany Manor in Horseheads, NY. He was born June 7, 1909 in Arnot, PA
to Homer and Anna (Bumgardner) Wheeler. Mr. Wheeler was a Communicant of St.
John the Baptist Church and was retired from Kennedy Valve Manufacturing
Company after 42 years of service. He is survived by his son, William Wheeler
of York, PA; daughter, Jeannine Breese of Elmira; brother, Robert Wheeler of
Tioga, PA; sisters, Betty Bryant of Lawrenceville, PA, Nellie Howe of
Mansfield, PA, Ruth Jelliff of Bentley Creek, PA, Martha Ameigh of Columbia
Cross Roads, PA, Jerry Congdon of Millerton, PA; four stepchildren; several
grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by
his wife, Cora (Berkey) Wheeler. Funeral services were held November 17 at the
Barrett Funeral Home with the Rev. Patrick O'Connor officiating and interment
to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Contributions may be directed to the

died Tuesday, December 17, 1996 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Elmira, NY. She
is survived by her husband of 57 years, Grant James Jelliff, sisters, Nellie
Howe of Mansfield, PA, Betty Brant of Lawrenceville, PA, Martha Eighmey of
Columbia Cross Roads, PA and Alice Congdon of Millerton, PA; brother Robert
Wheeler of Lawrenceville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services

WHEELER William C. "Bill" Wheeler
Age 80, of Van Buren, Arkansas, formerly of Dover, PA and
Elmira, NY, died on Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Saint Edwards Hospital in Fort
Smith, AR, with his two daughters by his side. He was a retired truck driver, a
Korean War Navy Veteran and a lifetime member of the American Legion. He was
preceded in death by his wives, Delores Wheeler and Evelyn Wheeler; and his
daughter, Beverly Austin. He is survived by two daughters, Catherine Grim and
Suzanne Wonder, both of Dover, PA; his sister, Jeannie Breese of Elmira, NY;
and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Graveside service, along
with Military Honors, will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in
Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Bill

CARL I. (SONNY) WHIPPLE age 63 died peacefully at home under Hospice care Friday, July 30, 2004. He was predeceased by his parents, Carl and Violet Whipple; sister, Roxie Ketter; brother-in-law, Robert Peckham; and an infant son, John Carl. He is survived by his sister, Kathleen Peckham; brother-in-law, Raymond Ketter; six children: Lonnie (Penny) Whipple, Tioga, PA, Penny Searfoss, MO, Rodger (Karen) Whipple, Lowman, Carol Lynn (Doug) Carmack, FL, Pam Hults, FL, Carl John Whipple, VA; seven grandchildren: Joey, Alesia, Nicole, Heaven, Mary, Renee and Lonnie Jr.; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and several dear friends. Carl was one of the founders of the Boy Scout Troop #17 of North Chemung, avid sportsman and a member of several Rod & Gun Clubs in Elmira Area, Lexington County Cruiser & Antique Collectible Vehicles, an Army Veteran and a retired carpenter with the Local #532 Carpenters Union. He was born on July 1, 1963 a son of Carl and Kathryn (Rayner) Whipple. Lonnie was a 1981 graduate of Williamson Jr. and Sr. High School. He was an employee of Ward Manufacturing for 18 years. Lonnie was a member of the Tioga Sportsman Club. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an avid NASCAR fan of Dale Earnhardt Sr. He enjoyed hunting, riding snowmobiles, demolition derbies, and the Buffalo Bills. Age 96, longtime resident of Pine City, died after an
extended illness Tuesday, February 28th, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Velma
was the daughter of the late Thurlow and Harriet Whitman. She was born February
12th, 1916 in Ithaca, NY. She was predeceased by her husband George Jessup in
1988. Surviving her is her only son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Donna
Lowman-Jessup of Horseheads, NY; grandson Matthew (Kristy) Jessup of
Binghamton, NY; great granddaughter Ava; sisters Mary Stiles of Tully, NY, Jean
(Jim) Ryerson of East Aurora, NY; brother James "Kel" Whitman of
Nivone, FL; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband George
and parents, Velma was predeceased by her brother Robert and sister E. Grace
Whitman. Velma will always be known for her thoughtfulness. She was always
baking something for someone or visiting someone in need of company. She kept
her days filled with making a difference in someone's life. She was very active
at the Westside United Methodist Church and Samaritan Center. She thoroughly

Emilie Jeanne Of Elmira, NY Was born March 20, 1923 in Rome, PA, the daughter
of the late Richard and Alberta (Bennett) Whitney, died peacefully at home on
Monday, September 4, 2006, at the age of 83. She is survived by her loving
husband, Cliff Hamilton of Elmira, NY; beloved stepchildren, Linda Hamilton of
Horseheads, NY, Patricia (Jerry) Sweeney of Cohoes, NY, Tom (Kathy) Hamilton of
Elmira, NY, Cliff (Nancy) Hamilton Jr., also of Elmira, NY; sisters, Betty
(Robert) Thorpe of San Antonio, TX, Esther (Vernon) Davis of Hot Springs, AK;
along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews,
great-nieces and great-nephews. For several years, Jeanne was employed at
Remington Rand as an assembler and later retired from Rossi Bowling Lanes,
where she volunteered for the Junior Bowling League as an instructor. Because
of her bowling expertise, Al Mallette voted her as the female bowler of the
century! In her earlier years she enjoyed playing softball and was an

Age 85, and longtime resident of the Breesport-North Chemung Rd. in Lowman,
died after a long illness Sat. Jan. 10, 2009 at Elcor Health Center. He was
born Jan. 9, 1924 in McClure, PA to Howard and Ellen (Snook) Wieder. Dick is
survived by his wife of 61 years, Grace (Lyter) Wieder; daughters and son,
Carolyn (John) Graham of E. Lansing, MI, Cheryl (Dave) Teeter of Plant City,
FL, Richard (Joy) Wieder of Erin, NY; 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren;
brother, John Wieder of Phoenixville, PA; and sister, Betty Goss of Multoy, PA;
and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Savanna
Bell, Mae McNitt, Hilda Hartman, Gert Kline, Sara Suniega, Carrie Smeltzer and
Ruth Bickhart; and brother, Harry Wieder. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather
and great-grandfather. Dick was a U.S. Army veteran serving during WWII,
retired from both Remington Rand and also as a maintenance and road worker for
the Village of Horseheads. A "handy man" to many, Dick was able to
fix most anything. He was also a longtime devoted member of Elmwood Baptist

She was predeceased by her first husband, Clifford Grover; husband Arthur Share; companion Leonard Share; son, Roger Grover; son-in-law, Russell Colussy; sister, Shirley Tagliaboske; brother, Earl Williams. WILSON Tremaine E. Age 88, of Millerton, PA, died Sunday, August 22, 2004, at Arnot Ogden Memorial Hospital in Elmira, following a long illness. Tremaine was born December 30, 1915 in Staley, North Carolina. He moved to New York with his family in 1918. Tremaine was a respected carpenter in and around Elmira, having built numerous houses, barns, and other buildings. He also raised dairy cattle on a farm outside Breesport. For many years, Tremaine and his wife, Eleanor, performed as musicians in Elmira and the surrounding area, he on guitar and harmonica and she on the accordion. Upon retiring, Tremaine remained active as a woodworker into his 80s. He was also an avid reader. He is survived by his loving, devoted wife, Eleanor, of Millerton; beloved children, Camille (Melvin) Cummings of Kennesaw, GA, Terry (Patsy) Wilson of Dillard, GA, and Connie Wilson of Elmira, NY; brothers, William (Lasca) Wilson of Elmira, NY, and Carl (Cecelia) Wilson of Lakeland, FL; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. BRAGG Carolyn Age 91, of Elmira, NY, died on Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at St.
Joseph's Skilled Nursing Unit. Carolyn was born on October 23, 1914 to the late
John and Annie Woermbke. She was predeceased by her husband, Charlie Bragg; and
by her grandson, Joe Comfort, Sr. Survivors include son, Larry Comfort, and
daughter-in-law, Nancy Comfort, of Elmira; granddaughter, Kelley (Norman)
Gervais of Vandergrift, PA; great-grandchildren, Joe, Jr., Somer and Stacy
Comfort, Jennifer and Rebecca Gervais, Carla and Michael Shearer; two
great-great grandchildren, Destiny Marie and Julienna; and several nieces and
nephews. Carolyn enjoyed playing cards with her niece and good friend, Mary Lou
Woermbke. Carolyn worked for many years at Remington Rand and after that at the
Chemung County Infirmary. She and her husband, Charlie, enjoyed many years of
bowling together and traveling all over the country. In later years, she and Charlie
were both school crossing guards together. Carolyn was a longtime member of
Riverside Methodist Church and enjoyed her Bible Study group. The family would
like to thank the Staff on the 3rd floor Skilled Nursing Unit at St. Joseph's

Betty J. (Wood) Colony, 61, of Wheaton Rd., RD#1,
Erin, N.Y., died Monday, Aug. 31, 1987, at the Arnot-Ogden Hospital. She
was a member of the Breesport Baptist Church. Mrs. Colony was also a
former employee of the NYS Dept. of Corrections and a retired employee of
Eastman Kodak, Rochester, N.Y. In November, 1966, her husband, Robert,

of Elmira, N.Y.; her mother, Mrs. Hazel Wood of Erin, N.Y.; several

Towanda SNF following declining health. Born on Nov. 17, 1934 in Wilawana,
PA; Betty was the daughter of the late, Merton & Pauline Bartlett Wood. She
married Willis D. "Willy" Edger in 1956 and he predeceased her in 2013.
Betty was employed for many years by A&P Foods, together with her husband,
Willy they acquired Paris's Garage in Bentley Creek which they continued to
operate as Edger's Garage for many more years. Betty enjoyed family camping
trips and cherished the title "Grandma Edger" at Ulster Elem. School and
playing BINGO. Surviving is her loving family, children, Willis Edger,
Ulster, PA; Carol (William) Williams, Milan, PA; Thomas (Vicky) Edger, SC;
two grandsons, Matthew (Melinda) Edger and Willis D. Edger; siblings,

Ken was born February 12, 1928, son of Raymond and Margaret Lyons Wood. He was predeceased

son-in-law, Linda T. and Norm Theetge of Lowman, with their son, Michael; son
and daughter-in-law, Kenneth S. and Sue Wood of Elmira, with their son,

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife of nearly 50 years, Viola (Marriott) Woodhull. John is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Marilyn (Held) Woodhull and her children: Kenneth W. (Joyce) Held of Pownal, VT, Alan W. (Cynthia) Held of Pine City, NY, Jason W. Held of Scottsdale, AZ, Evelyn R. (James) Laskaris of Horseheads, NY, Bryon W. Held of Peekskill, NY; along with numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his cousin and lifelong friend, William (Ila) Woodhull of Sun City, AZ. As a young boy, John started his working career in the family bait shop, known as Woody's Fishing & Bait Tackle Shop; later delivering milk to the Elmira area for 20+ years and finished his career in 1968, retiring from the Chemung County Airport after 25 years of dedicated service. John was a Veteran of the US Army, proudly serving his country from 1945-1947 during WWII and was the recipient of the Victory Medal. He was a life member of the Elmira Elks Lodge #62, the American Legion Post #443 and VFW Post #901. He was a member also of the Chemung County Historical Society and the Pownal Historical Society in Vermont. John enjoyed square dancing to the music of his father and uncles band, "The Woodhull Boys". Isabelle I. Age 92, a former resident of Villa Serene, Elmira Heights, died
peacefully on September 30, 2005 surrounded by her loving family at the Chemung
County Nursing Facility in Elmira. She was born March 27, 1913 in Elmira
Heights, the daughter of John and Amelia Yanczyk Woznick. She was a life member
of Oakwood United Methodist Church and a member of RSVP. She worked for many
years at the Elmira Knitting Mill and retired from Nichols Discount City.
Isabelle lived an active and vibrant life evidenced by her love of the NY
Yankees. She is survived by her loving daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and
William Bahanka of Elmira Heights, NY, Darlene and Richard Gumtow of Fort

age 39, of Elmira, NY passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016 at the Strong
Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. Dennis was born in Elmira on June 21,
1976, son of the late Everett and Frieda (Hill) Wright. Dennis is survived
by his daughters, Stephanie and Makenzie Wright; sons, Dennis Jr. and
Braydan Wright; sisters, Denise (Bob Nickens) Wright, Paula (Jeff) Durfey

WRIGHT –JANE L. ALEXANDER age 93, of Elmira Heights, NY passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. Jane was born in Columbia Crossroads, PA, on August 16, 1923, daughter of the late Chauncy and Bertha (Holton) Wright. Jane was also predeceased by her husband, Lavern in 1977, sister, Ethel Pierce, brothers, Chauncy, Albert, Richard and Walter Wright. Jane was employed by Remington Rand and the A&P Plant for many years. Gloucester, VA, passed away Friday, December 26, 2014. Robert is survived by

Billy Wrubleski from CO and Richard Wrubleski of Mass; two sisters, Deborah
and Sandra; and ex-wife, Sandra; most important at the time, his fiancée,
Belena; his dogs; and the extended family of Belena. Robert was predeceased
by his loving wife, Janet; father-in-law, Carl; and best friend, Midnight.
Robert served in the Navy for 20 years before he retired and was also a
business owner and CEO of Hawk Security in Virginia for many years. Family

Southport Resident, Was born August 16, 1927 in Dunmore, PA, the daughter of
the late Dennis and Mary (Zahorian) Yakushow, died peacefully on Tuesday,
February 26, 2008, at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Her loving husband,
Kenneth H. Fletcher, predeceased her. She is survived by her beloved children,
Phyllis I. Hatfield of Elmira, NY, James W. (Maureen) Ingham of Lewiston, NY,
Rose M. (Richard) Graffius of Punxsutawney, PA, Raymond L. (Lois) Ingham of
Elmira, NY; much-loved grandchildren, Beth Hatfield, Lori (Harold) Romeo,
Matthew (Jamie) Ingham, Sean Ingham, Sarah Ingham, Andrew Ingham, Alissa
Graffius, Lindsay Graffius, and Emily Graffius; adored great-grandchildren,
Alex Hatfield, Emma Romeo, Lawson Ingham, and Trevor Ingham. Rose retired from
the Elmira City School District after several dedicated years of service. She
was a member of the Riverside United Methodist Church and volunteered with the Senior
Luncheon program at the church. Mrs. Fletcher was a member of the American
Legion Clarence Oliver Post #154 in Elmira Heights, NY and also volunteered for
RSVP, the Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts of America. Family and friends are invited

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 at the Van Buskirk & Lynch Funeral Home at Horseheads for William R. Youmans, who died Sunday afternoon at 1:30 following a heart attack at his home, 816 South Ave., Horseheads. Mr. Youmans, who was 79, served three terms as supervisor of the Town of Catlin during the first quarter of the century, and retired eight years ago after 23 years on the Horseheads police force. A life-long resident of Chemung County, he was born in Catlin, son of the late George and Lydie Mathews Youmans. He attended Catlin rural schools and later was engaged in farming in that township. During his long tenure as a farmer, he also operated a general store in Catlin for over 20 years. He also gained wide recognition as a breeder of Holstein cattle. Mr. Youmans thrice was elected to the Chemung County Board of Supervisors on the Republican ticket, serving from 1910 until 1913 and again from 1922 to 1923. In 1923, he moved to Horseheads to become village police officer. He later was advanced to the rank of sergeant, a post he held until his retirement in 1946. Mr. Youmans was a member of the Horseheads Grange and was a former member of Old Oak Lodge, F&AM of Millport.
ZAHORIAN
–VIRGINIA M. WIGGINS of Erin, NY passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at
the age of 76. Virginia was born on April 4, 1940, the daughter of the late
George and Alma Kimber Zahorian. She retired after 38 years as a bus driver
for the Horseheads School District and was also the co-owner of Wiggins
Trucking. Virginia was pre-deceased by her husband, Eugene in 2007 and by
her daughters, Rosalie, Alma, Theresa and Patricia. Virginia is survived by
her children, Roger (Fayth) Wiggins, Robin (Kenneth) Mayhood, and James
Wiggins; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother-in-law,
Ralph (Patricia) Wiggins and many other extended family members. She was a
member and volunteered at the First United Methodist Church of Horseheads.
She also enjoyed bowling and went out of her way to help others. The family
will welcome relatives and friends to Sullivan's Funeral Home, 365 E.
Franklin St. at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 10am -
11am. Virginia's Funeral Service will be held at the conclusion of hours
with her Pastor Rhonda Kouterick. She will be laid to rest along side her

ZENGER - Edna Z. Cleveland - Age 99, longtime resident of Roosevelt Ave., Horseheads and the New Falls Home in Montour Falls, NY died Mar. 22, 2010 at Schuyler Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility. Edna was born May 6, 1910, the daughter to the late Simon and Theresa (Deibler) Zenger. She was predeceased by her husband, David Cleveland and is survived by her daughter and son, Norma and Richard Bauer of Big Flats, NY, Dean and Bonnie Ritt of Covington, PA; six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Edna was a former employee of Warren Clute II in Watkins Glen. Formerly of Elmira, residing at Elderwood's Health Care at Tioga, NY died
Friday, Sept. 10, 2010 following declining health. Born on November 16, 1932 in
Elmira, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Ludwig & Mary Ersly Ziegler.
She was married to Leonard Pearson who died in 1991. Marilyn raised a loving
family and enjoyed their company. Surviving are her daughters, Lorrie (Michael)
Gessi. Wellsburg, NY; Jan (Charles) Ackley, Virginia Beach, VA; and Charles
"Richie" Ziegler, Lowman; five grandchildren, Valerie Gessi, Elmira,
NY; Brian Gessi, Glen Carbon, IL; Kimberly (Joe) Rockwell, Pine City, NY; Angela
(James) Grissom, Clinton, MD; and Travis Ackley, Virginia Beach, VA; four great
grandchildren, Liam Rockwell, Audrey Grissom, Aiden Ackley and Hunter White;
sister, Jeannette Sprague, Elmira; nieces and nephews. In addition to her
parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother Charles
"Richie" Ziegler. In honor of Marilyn's wishes, services will be held
privately at the family's convenience. She will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn

ZIMMER - MILUNICH, Florence L.
Age 79, of Elmira, NY, died Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at St. Joseph's Hospital
in Elmira. Florence was born on May 28, 1929 in Elmira, daughter of the late
William and Bertha (Bauman) Zimmer. Florence retired from Elmira City School
District after many years of service as a cook. She was an avid craft maker and
loved baking cookies with her grandchildren. Florence will be dearly missed by
her family and friends. Survivors include her daughters, Marcia (John
O'Donnell) Sassano of Wellsburg, NY, and Noreen (Ted) Watson of Elmira; sons,
John (Janice) Milunich of Elmira and Daniel (Sandra) Milinuch of Crescent City,
CA; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Florence was predeceased by her husband, John M. Milunich in 2000; grandson,
Michael C. Watson in 1986; brothers, William and Ernest Zimmer. Family and

MCDERMOTT, age 85, of Elmira, NY, passed away on Wednesday, December 3rd,
2014. Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter Eileen in June 1985, as
well as her loving husband Joseph in October of 2004. She is survived by her
daughter Kathleen (Mike) Zito of Elmira; grandson Bryan (Angela) Mullen of
Ohio; great grandchildren Natalie Renee and Ryan Joseph Mullen; sister M.
Claire Schultz of Elmira, along with several nieces and nephews. Her Mass of
