TALMAGE Jr., Charles D. "Charlie" "Jr."
Age 47, of Lowman, NY, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 24, 2007. Charlie
was born October 21, 1959. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 25
years, Joanne Mathew; children: Sara Talmage of Elmira, Holly Talmage and
Michael Talmage, both of Lowman; parents: Charles and Louise Palmer Talmage Sr.
of Erin; brothers: Mark and Brenda Talmage of Erin, Scott and Darla Talmage of
Erin; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Bob and Donna Mathew of Big Flats; and
several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Charlie was employed by
Hardinge Inc. for 28 years and operated his own computer business. He enjoyed
hunting, camping and fishing and most of all, spending time with his family.
The family will welcome relatives and friends on Sunday, April 29, 2007, at
Sullivan's Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St. at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY,
607-739-2035, from 2 p.m.-6 p.m. Charlie's Funeral Service will be held at the
conclusion of hours. A private interment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial
Park on Monday, April 30, 2007. Flowers are accepted or those wishing to
remember Charlie may do so through donations of one's choice in his name.
TARBLE - MUDGE
Velma C. Age 96 of Horseheads, NY died on Tuesday July 12, 2005 at Bethany
Manor in Horseheads, NY. Mrs. Mudge was born April 8, 1909 in Killawog, NY the
daughter of the late Clarence W. and Eda Hurlbut Tarble. Velma married her
husband, Ward Grant Mudge, who pre-deceased her on June 5, 1977. Mrs. Mudge was
also pre-deceased by her sister Marjorie Hultz. She was a member of Calvary
Baptist Church in Horseheads, NY. Mrs. Mudge was a retired Registered Nurse for
Dr. Palmer and Dr. Mills in Horseheads, NY. Velma is survived by her sons and
daughters-in-law: Dale & Mary Mudge of Horseheads, NY and Ronald &
Gayle Mudge of Bemidji, Minnesota; daughter and son-in-law: Jeannine &
Peter Maraven of Carson City, Nevada; several grandchildren, great
grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host
of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Lynch
Funeral Home 318 West Broad Street Horseheads, NY on Friday July 15, 2005 from
2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mrs. Mudge's Funeral and Committal Services will be held at the

HAROLD TAYLOR of Elmira passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the age of 95. Harold was born, November 10, 1921 in Elmira, NY, a son to the late Jesse and Emma Bailey Taylor. Harold is also preceded in death by his loving wife, Charlotte Spencer Taylor; son, Thomas Taylor; and brother, Lehman F. Taylor. He is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Bob) Elliott of Horseheads, NY and Debbie (Paul) Chase of Clinton, MA; grandchildren, Jill (Eric) Nelson, Jeff (Christine) Elliott, Erica Devlin, Andrew Chase, Daniel (Erin) Chase; great grandchildren, Katelyn and Hannah Nelson, Luke Devlin, Savannah and Nathan Elliott; many special nieces and nephews. Harold served his country honorably with the US Army during WWII and retired after 43 years at Kennedy Valve. The family will welcome relatives and friends to Sullivan’s Funeral Home, 365 E. TAYLOR Leon J.
Loving Husband, Father & Grandfather - Age 93, of Elmira, NY, died on
January 4, 2010. Born in Chemung, NY on October 17, 1916, Leon was the son of
John and Clara (Forsyth) Taylor. He was raised in Ellistown, NY and graduated
from Waverly High School. On November 27, 1943, he married Zula Grace Platt.
They were blessed with 66 years of marriage. Leon was predeceased by his
parents; his sister, Ruth Cameron; and brother, Ralph Taylor. He is survived by
his devoted wife, Zula Grace; and their children, Margaret and William Forsberg
of Minnesota, Judy and Alan Yates of Saratoga Springs, John and Lisa Taylor of
Georgia; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; seven nieces and
nephews and one cousin. For 38 years, Leon worked at New York State Electric
and Gas Company in the UC&M Department. He was involved in apprentice
training and retired as chief to the Electric Department. Leon worked part-time
for 9 1/2 years at Olthof Funeral Home after he retired from NYSEG. Leon was a
71-year member of the Masons and is a past Master of Tioga Lodge 534. A
lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, Leon worshipped at Centenary
United Methodist Church and New Beginnings United Methodist Church. He was an
active leader in many areas of service to the church. He loved the Lord and
generously shared his time, talents and resources with his beloved family and

TAYLOR Mary L. Frinkel
Martinsville, VA: Was born September 20, 1926 in
Martinsville, VA the daughter of the late James and Nannie (Leiter) Taylor,
died peacefully on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center at
the age of 84. Her loving husband, Samuel Frinkel and nephew, Louis W. Lindsay
predeceased her. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Juanita Russell,
Kathleen Howe and Karen Vanderhoff; along with several grandchildren, great
grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Mary retired from Moore Business
Forms after many years of dedicated and faithful service. Family and friends

of Elmira, NY died on Sunday morning, November 17, 2013 at the age of 63. Thomas was born on April 28, 1950 in Elmira, the son of Harold and Charlotte Spencer Taylor. Tom was an educator and retired as a mason with the BACIU Local #3. Tom is pre-deceased by his mother, Charlotte. He is survived by his daughter, Erica Devlin; grandson, Luke Devlin both of Somers, CT; father, Harold Taylor of Elmira, NY; sisters Cindy (Bob) Elliott of Horseheads, NY and Debbie (Paul) Chase of Clinton, MA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. TEETER Michael P.
Was born December 4, 1964 in Elmira, NY the son of the
late, Merlin L. and Bette Jean (Woodruff) Teeter died on Tuesday, May 1, 2012
at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center after fighting a courageous battle. He is
survived by his loving, devoted wife and best friend of 23 years, Mary A.
Teeter; twin sons, Brandon (Jennifer) Teeter and Beau (Becky) Teeter; grandson,
Marshall Lee Teeter, Papa's "best buddy"; siblings, Richard (Carol)
MacMillan, Debora Duclaw, Mark (Mary Jane) Teeter and Shirley (Bill) Dumont;
along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends. He is also
survived by his special pets, Jenkins, Brittany and Skeeter. Michael enjoyed
his time spent every morning at Gill's Auto drinking coffee, eating donuts and
just hanging out with "the guys". He retired from the NYS DOT after
several years of dedicated service. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved
fishing and hunting for deer. Michael was an auto enthusiast who loved working
on cars and riding his motorcycle. He never turned down a charity event and
loved riding his Harley with his friends in many of them. Family and friends

TELECH - LUCAS, Anita (Telech)
Age 90 of Elmira, NY. She was born August 10, 1919 in Wilmot, PA, daughter of
the late Harry and Linda (Mosier) Sutton and died Wednesday, October 21, 2009,
at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. In addition to her
parents, she was predeceased by her 1st husband, John S. Telech, Jr. in 1990;
an infant daughter; brothers, Stanley, Donald, Glenn and John Sutton; sisters,
Marjorie Oaks and Fedora Way. She is survived by her husband, Albert J. Lucas;
children, John Telech of Lexington, KY, Donald (Harriett) Telech of Bowman, SC,
Sharon Telech (Ronald) Maurey of Gillett, PA, William Telech of Elmira and
Deborah Telech (Thomas) Nugent of Elmira Heights; 10 grandchildren, 17
great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Richard Telech of Elmira Heights and Paul
Telech of Pine City; special family friend, Tony Roe of Elmira; along with
several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lucas was a communicant of Ss. Peter &
Paul Church. She was employed for many years at Moretti's Restaurant. Anita was
a very loving and compassionate mother and grandmother and will be greatly

TERRY -CLARA BELL (Terry) STONE, 88, of Sayre,
passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020 at her home. She was born on May 8,
1932 in Burlington, daughter of the late George and Esther (Williams) Terry.
Clara was the wife of Raymond F. Stone. The couple celebrated 72 years of
marriage on Oct. 9. Clara is survived by her husband, Ray; her children,
Raymond (Paula) Stone Jr. of Orange County, VA, Daniel (Theresa) Stone of
North Carolina, Diane Stone of Dansville, NY, Nancy (Richard) Noterfonzo of
Rochester, NY, Robert Stone, and Richard (Angie) Stone of Louisville, KT;
along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; half-sister, Nettie
Snyder of Unityville, and several nieces and nephews. Clara was preceded in
death by her parents, her children Dorothy Kent and Curtis Stone, along with

Marguerite A. - Age 75, of Elmira Heights, NY, died Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at
her home peacefully with her loving family by her side. Marguerite was born in
Elmira, daughter of the late Edgar and Catherine (Hennessy) Thatcher.
Marguerite will be remembered for her beautiful flower gardens and her love for
animals. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include
her husband, Richard of 42 years; daughters, Linda (Randy) Rightmire of Sayre,
PA and Roxanne (David) Orme of Flowering Branch, GA; son, Roger Hynes of Porta
Gunta, FL; ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia
Krusen of Elmira; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Marguerite was predeceased

He was born on June 15, 1943 in Elmira, NY to the late Clinton and Marcelene
(Rudd) Thayer. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy Thayer; sons,
Steven Thayer, Bud (Lisa) Thayer and Thomas Thayer; grandson, Randolph W.
Thayer; sister and brother-in-law, Mary (Paul) Weber; cousin, Deborah
(Richard) Sowa; along with several nieces and nephews. Family and friends

Age 44 of Elmira, NY formerly of Gillett, PA died on Friday December 14, 2007
very unexpectedly. Daniel was born November 4, 1963 in Blossburg, PA the son of
Daniel Robert Thomas and Nancy J. Moyer Thomas. He was pre-deceased by his
father Daniel Robert Thomas. Daniel is survived by his daughter: Portia A.

age 77, passed away in the comfort of his home on Friday, October 9, 2015
following declining health. Born on December 14, 1937 in Big Flats, Phil was
the son of the late, Arthur W. & Helen Bills Thomas. In dedication to his
country, he served in the US Army. Phil retired from Zimmer Inc. Elmira. His
many interests included, woodworking, enjoyed dancing, and going to the
casinos. Phil married Patricia Harvey on August 15, 1959. Together they
raised a loving and close family who survive; wife and companion, Patricia
Harvey Thomas; children, Sylvia (Mark) Fivie, Roger (Carol) Thomas, Larry
(Linda Gidding) Thomas, Lynn Thomas and Terry (Liz Enlow) Thomas; a sister,
Clara Wishneska; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and
nephews. In addition to his parents, Phil was predeceased by his sons, Randy
and Stanley; great granddaughter, Cheyenne Cranmer. Family and friends will

Southport/Elmira, NY on Friday, October 16, 2015 from 10-11 a.m. Funeral

RUSSELL THOMAS, 80 of Elcor Nursing Services, formerly of Millerton died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1993. He was a retired employee of Hilliard Corp. Preceding him in death was his wife, Louise in 1976. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, William and Joy Thomas of Millerton and Ronald and Lorraine Thomas of Herman, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. THOMPSON - CARTWRIGHT, Betty Jane "Nema"
Of Elmira died Tuesday evening, November 11, 2008 at Arnot-Ogden Medical Center
following an illness at the age of 81. Betty was born on November 16, 1926 in
Corning, NY daughter of the late Daniel & Dorothy Phenes Thompson. She
married Clifford "Popo" Cartwright nearly 65 years ago on November
25, 1943. Betty was employed by St. Joseph's Hospital for over 30 years and
retired as the Supervisor of Housekeeping. Her many interests included,
traveling to Florida and enjoying warm winters there, gardening, camping and
dancing. Betty was an avid sports fan fond of the Dallas Cowboys and the NY
Yankees. She enjoyed attending the Pennsylvania Ave. United Methodist Church.
Her greatest joy was that of her family who cherish her memory. Her loving
husband and companion, Clifford Cartwright; along with their children, Robert
(Sandra) Cartwright, Saco, ME; Linda Donovan, Big Flats; Clifford (Erica)

Age 87, of Millbrook, Alabama, formerly of Elmira, died unexpectedly September
9, 2007. Craig is survived by his loving wife, Doris of 64 years, Daughters,
Johann (Harold) Rathbun of Elmore, Al; Bonnie (Raymond) Strait of Elmore, Al;
Joyce (Robert) Waite of Elmira, NY and son, Gerald (Valerie) Thompson of Erin,
NY. Craig is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. After
29 years of service at Hardinge Inc., Craig and Doris retired to Lakeland,
Florida in 1981. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on
Saturday, October 6 at 2:00pm at the Erin United Methodist Church. A private

THOMPSON Margaret E. Schultz age 95, a resident of
the Taylor Health Center of East Lake Road in Hammondsport, NY and formerly of
Park Road in Pine City, NY, died
peacefully on Monday, May 13, 2002 at Ira Davenport Hospital following a brief
illness. Margaret was born on February 28, 1907 in Mason, Ohio the daughter of
Ezra and Margaret Siegel Thompson. She was predeceased by her husband, Willam
B. Schultz in 1980; three sisters and two brothers. Margaret is survived
by daughter and son-in-law, Jean (John) Schultz Crane of Bath, NY;
grandchildren, Jeffrey B. Crane of Alexandria, VA, Kristine E. (Kenneth E. Jr.)
Crane Gilbert of Bath, NY and great grandsons, Kenner and Colin Gilbert of
Bath, NY. At Margaret’s request, there will be no calling hours or
services. Interment will take place in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park at

She worked closely with her husband in remodeling homes and real estate. Preceding her in death was her husband, Almon C. Kent, and one grandchild, Justin Kent. Jack E. TILLOTSON, age 32, of Lowman, N.Y., died Sunday July 1, 1979, from injuries received in a truck accident that had occurred six weeks previously. Among his survivors are: two daughters, Judy and Marie, Elmira; a son Scottie of Elmira; parents, Mr. And Mrs. Morrell (Barney) Tillotson of Lowman, former Canton residents; one brother; two sisters; several aunts, including Mrs. Lloyd Herman and Mrs. Ella Mae Yaggie, Canton; uncles, including Leon Tillotson, Roaring Branch; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the home of his parents in Lowman, last Tuesday. Interment was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

TILLOTSON, 68, of Lowman, N.Y., passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at
Elderwood of Waverly, N.Y. She was born on July 6, 1950 in Elmira, N.Y.,
daughter of the late Morrell "Barney" and Helen (Mysliveck) Tillotson. Karen
was a parts sorter for ARC of Chemung County. She loved being around people
and enjoyed being a "social butterfly." She had a passion for bingo and
liked all the activities at Elderwood. Karen is survived by her brother
Gerry (Doris) Tillotson of Lowman, N.Y., several nieces and nephews,
great-nieces and nephews, and her loving caregivers at Elderwood. She was
preceded in death by her parents, her sister Arlene Barhite, and her brother
Jack Tillotson. Family and friends are welcome to call from 12-1 p.m. on
Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc., 279 Main St.,
Wellsburg, N.Y. The funeral service to honor Karen's life will be held at
the conclusion of the visitation at 1 p.m. on June 28 at the funeral home

TOBIAS MARJORIE J. PARFITT
Marjorie J. Formerly of Caton Ave. Age 87, died peacefully on Saturday, May 13,
2006, at Bethany Manor in Horseheads where she most recently resided. She was
born October 20, 1918 in Toronto, Canada, the daughter of the late William L.
and Margaret J. (Brownlee) Tobias. Marjorie was predeceased by her loving and devoted
husband of 64 years, Ellison William Parfitt November 30, 2005. Her daughter,
Margaret Parfitt and her son, Robert Parfitt, also preceded her in death. Her
survivors include son and daughter-in-law, William and Ann Parfitt of Camillus,
NY; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and David Dubbs of Port Byron, NY; along
with five grandchildren and one great-grandson. Other survivors include
sisters, Rosemary (Reverend Willard) Davis of West Palm Beach, FL; Jeanne Mekos
of Elmira, NY; brother, David Tobias of Locust Grove, VA; sister-in-law,
Virginia Tobias of Castile, NY; along with several nieces and nephews. In her
earlier years, Marjorie was a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader. Through the 'war
years' she worked faithfully at the Remington Rand and then worked for E. E.
Wood Realty of Elmira for many dedicated years as a secretary until her
retirement. She volunteered numerous hours with the Board of Elections until
she was physically not able to do so. Marjorie along with her beloved Ellison,
were the oldest married couple of the Centenary United Methodist Church where
they were faithful members. She was a member of the OES Harmony Loyal Chapter
#265 for over 50 years. Her fondest memories are the countless hours spent at
their cottage on Cayuta Lake. Family and friends are invited to call at the
Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY, on Wednesday,
May 17, 2006, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Funeral Services honoring her life will

November 30, 2005, and his wife, Marjorie J. Parfitt, died on May 13, 2006. A

Rose Mary Age 79 of 15 Virginia Ave., died on Friday, August 10, 2001 at St.
joseph's Hospital. She was born on July 31, 1922 in Hornell, the daughter of
John and Elizabeth Re Couper Toti. SHe and her husband, Emerson, were married
on August 19, 1943 and would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary
this year. She was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, retired
from Westinghouse and was an avid bingo player. Rose Mary is survived by her
husband, Emerson; son and daughter-in-law, John and Janice Brannaka of Lowman;
daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Val Gray of Elmira; son, Joseph Brannaka of
Elmira; sisters, Theresa Qualls of Painted Post and Mary Stimson of Pomona, NY;
brother, John Toti of Las Vegas; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and
several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Thomas Brannaka in
1990. It was Rose Mary's wish that there be no calling hours. The family will
gather at Ballard and Lindgren Funeral Home, 161 Oakwood Ave., Elmira Heights
on Monday, August 13th at 1:00 PM for a Panykhyda Service. Friends are invited

passed away Friday morning, April 24, 2020 at the age of 87. She was born
April 1, 1933 in Elmira, NY, the daughter of the late James Jairus and Irene
Hosley Treat. Pat attended Breesport School and graduated from Horseheads
and Corning CC and retired after many years from the Horseheads Central
School Dist. as a home tutor and a teachers assistant. Pat was blessed with
64 years of marriage and will be lovingly remembered for the care and
thoughtfulness of raising her family. She loved reading, traveling, bowling
and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great
grandchildren. Pat is predeceased by her brother, Jan Treat and
sister-in-law Gladys Treat. She is survived by her husband of 64 years,
Glenn E. Mallow Jr.; sons, Casey (Carol) Mallow, Thomas (Lorraine Cole)
Mallow; daughters, Barbara (Chris) McGrath, Karen (Dane) Cook;
grandchildren, Jason, Kilian, Jessica, Kristian, Abigail, Megan; great

Velma A. Retired Bendix Employee Age 92, formerly of W. Gray St., Elmira
died Wednesday, May 31, 2000 at Elcor Health Services in Horseheads. At
Velma's request, services were held at the convenience of the family with
Ballard and Lindgren Funeral Home. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Elmira.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Allan D. and Linda Shaw of
Hull, MA; a son-in-law,, Frank Kerbein of Elmira Heights; several
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and
nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Alice Kerbein and a son,
Hartson Shaw. Born January 14, 1908, she was the daughter of John A. and Anna
Marie Kirk Trice. Velma was retired from Bendix Corporation and was a
member of Oakwood United Methodist Church in Elmira Heights.

Elmira: Age 80, of Elmira, NY, died on Monday, April 18,
2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born on April 26, 1930 in Edinburgh, IL
to the late Clinton and Mary (Williams) Truxell. Leslie is survived by his son
and daughter-in-law, John and Faith Truxell of Erin; grandchildren, Margaret

Age 74, of Lake St., Elmira, died Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at St. Joseph's
Hospital in Elmira after an extended illness. Leon was born on March 10, 1934
in Knoxville, PA, son of Leon E. Sr. and Edra Faye (Allen) Tubbs. Leon retired
from Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Elmira after many years of service
as a groundskeeper and was also a retired farmer. Survivors include his son,
Leon Tubbs Jr., of CA; sisters, Betty E. Springman of Williamsport, PA, Marie
Cole of Lansdale, PA and Lorraine "Peggy" White of Corning, NY;
brothers, Eric Francis Tubbs of Columbus, OH and Wayne Tubbs of Elkland, PA.
Leon was predeceased by his parents, Leon E. Tubbs Sr. and Edra F. (Tubbs)
Harvey; daughter, Sharron Tubbs; son, Robert Tubbs; sister, Wanita Felix; and

brothers-in-law, Eugene Wiggins of Cayuta, NY and Ralph Wiggins of Rochester,

be interred next to her husband, Alfred E. Wiggins, at Forest Lawn Memorial

TURNER Keith L.
Age 61 of Turner Road, Lowman, NY, died Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital
following a brief illness. Keith was born August 14, 1946 in Binghamton, NY,
son of Doris Kline Turner and the late Lester M. Turner. Keith was a graduate
of Elmira Free Academy Class of 1964. He dedicated his life to his dairy farm,
carrying on the family tradition that was handed down to him by his father.
Prior to his illness he was employed by Grace Farms, Lowman, NY and previously
by Elmira City School District in the Transportation Department and Bernard Hallstead
Milk Haulers as a driver. Surviving is his mother, Doris Turner of Lowman, NY;
two sisters, Karen and James Hilliard of Gainesville, FL, and Marsha Turner of
Elmira, NY; aunts and uncle, Eleanor and Wendall Chubb of Troy, PA, Jean Kline
of Waverly and Helen Mattocks of Downingtown, PA; several cousins. He was
predeceased by his father, Lester M. Turner, on October 25, 1997. Friends are
invited to call from 1 to 2 p.m., Friday, February, 8, 2008, at the Roberts
Funeral Home, Inc., 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY. A memorial service to honor
Keith's life will be held 2 p.m. with Rev. James Carr officiating. Keith will

TURNER Martha M. Searle
Formerly of Cayuta, died peacefully Saturday morning,
June 11, 2011 at her Horseheads home with her loving family by her side at the
age of 88. Born on March 17, 1923 in Branchport, Martha was the daughter of the
late, Howard & Leah Corwin Turner. She married Arthur Searle on February 9,
1947 in Elmira and he predeceased her on August 6, 1999. Martha was a devoted
homemaker, who enjoyed caring for and raising her family. She was a longtime
member of Elmira First Baptist Church. She always greeted you with a warm and
kind smile. Surviving are her loving daughters, Linda (Marc) Whitney, Elmira;
Jan Martz, Montour Falls; Karen (Burton) Schoonover, Cayuta; grandchildren, Amy
(Bart Fullan) Short, Scottsdale, AZ; Jason Searle, Burdett; great
grandchildren, Devin and Jasmine Searle, Abigail and Alexander Rundle; a

Elouise R. Age 82 formerly of Horseheads, NY died and Saviour on Tuesday
December 27, 2005. Mrs. Porter was born November 23, 1923 in Roaring Branch, PA
the daughter of the late William E. and Margaret McCallister Twist. She married
her husband, Leland Earl Porter, on July 4, 1944 and they recently celebrated
their 61st Wedding Anniversary. She was a charter member of The Calvary Baptist
Church in Horseheads, NY. Mrs. Porter was a retired employee of Bendix Corp. in
Elmira Heights, NY and an avid square dancer. She was pre-deceased by her
parents and five brothers and sisters. Mrs. Porter is survived by her loving
and devoted husband Leland Earl Porter of Pine Grove Mills, PA; her son and
daughter-in-law: Ronald & Sara Porter of Pine Grove Mills, PA;
grandchildren: David & Diane Porter of Gloucester, VA, Andrew Porter and
Stephen Porter both of State College, PA; sister-in-law: Joan Twist of Roaring
