This database of military veterans was compiled by Dick by Dick McCracken in his eleven years as Director of Veterans' Affairs in Bradford County. He has made it available to the Tri-Counties site for the use of the genealogical community. There are nearly 8500 individuals in the file. This is current as of November 1999.

Hi, I am the great-great-great granddaughter of Alfred Strope, listed in the veteran of Bradford county web site. I grew up in Towanda, daughter of
Mahlon Brewster Strope. Here is some additional information if you wish it on Alfred Strope. He was born in 1815 and died Dec. 12, 1870 in Athens, Pa.
I've done family geneology and have that in my records. My dad and several other relatives are listed on the site. If you're not the right person for this info, please pass it on.
