Dear Joyce,
I just wanted to drop a note to thank you for your genealogy work in
PA. I was very excited to find (for the first time) the location
of the grave of my ancestor LT. DANIEL MINIER (buried in Sheshequin Cemetery).
Your cemetery records show “Killed in battle of Gravelly Run, VA. Co.
G 165th Reg't N.Y.S.U. 1st Grig. 1st Dw. 5th Corps.” I am the proud
owner of Daniel’s civil war saber,… It is engraved "Presented to Lt. Daniel
MINIER by the Members of G-company, 185 Regiment, N.York Volunteers."
Photos attached.
I am also a descendent of Samuel GORE & Sarah BROKAW who are noted
in your footnote on the web page. Thanks again for your wonderful work!
