I've been researching a WWII unit for a veteran in Michigan and came across
the following error, and was hoping you'ns could correct it so that others
looking for this information may be more apt to find it.
It's regarding a Bradford County veteran listed on your databases as
follows: Chase, Earl A. 27 Apr 1922; Overton, PA 30 May 50
WWII USA Pfc (Pvt) Hq Gp, 91st Cavalry Recon Scuadron 33
355 343 Bradford County memorial Burlington Twp Bradford PA
It's a really minor detail, but the actual unit designation should be 91st
Cavalry Recon "Squadron" (for the 91st Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron). I
know replacing a c with a q seems kind of trivial, but it sure does make a
difference when you're searching for a WWII nondivisional unit that fell
directly under II Corps, which makes information on it difficult enough to find.
Also, I wanted to thank you both for putting this kind of information on the
web. I do volunteer research for WWII vets and their families, and sites
like yours are a real blessing.
