Covington, January 3, 1889.--The marriage of the youngest son of Mr.
Russell B. Rose to the youngest daughter of Mr. VanBuren Reynolds on the
last evening of the old year brought together a large number of invited
guests. Early in the evening the friends of the bride and groom began
to arrive, and at eight o’clock, the time appointed for the celebration
of the nuptials, the contracting parties, Mr. George Rose, supported by
Mr. Charles Miller, and the bride, Miss Millie Reynolds, supported by Miss
Morgan as bridesmaid, made their appearance. The bride was elegantly
attired in a costume of brown satin adorned with orange blossoms.
The usual questions, put by Rev. George H. Trapp, pastor of the Covington
and Sullivan State Road Baptist Churches, were cheerfully and distinctly
answered by both bride and groom, who were then pronounced no longer twain,
but one. Congratulations were next in order, and Roses and Reynolds
of three generations, with numerous other relatives and friends, wished
the happy pair every blessing on the voyage of life. An elegant and
sumptuous repast was then served and heartily enjoyed by all present.
The remainder of the evening was spent in social converse, and the New
Year was introduced before the company dispersed. The wedding presents
were both useful and valuable. The newly-married pair will make their
home in Sullivan township at the house of Mr. Russell B. Rose, father of
