A very interesting event took place in this village yesterday forenoon.
One of our most prominent young business men, Mr. Chas. C. Mathers, was
married to the youngest daughter of the late James Bryden. The ceremony
was pronounced at 11 o’clock at the residence of the bride’s mother, on
East avenue; and the happy couple, after receiving the hearty congratulations
of their friends, left on the afternoon train for their wedding journey.
We understand they will visit the Centennial Exhibition before they return.
We wish them a prosperous and pleasant journey, not only during the honeymoon
