Jenningsville Agog Over Disappearance of Man and Girl.
Says yesterday Athens Evening News; "Chief of Police Mulligan looking for B.G. Emmons, a man about 40 years of age, who disappeared Wednesday afternoon from the little village of Jenningsville near Laceyville, accompanied by Miss Sarah Donahue, the pretty 15 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Donahue of that place.  Information received here stated that the couple when last seen were in the Lehigh depot at Laceyville where they purchased tickets for Athens and left on train No. 197.  They are supposed to be somewhere in this vicinity.  "Cheif Mulligan believes that they got off the train at the depot here and then boarded a trolley car for Waverly, where they could easily make their escape by three different railroads.  However a close watch will be kept here by the police, and officers in Sayre and Waverly have been notified to arrest the couple if found.  Emmons is about 40 years of age, has gray hair slightly mixed with red, large black eyes and a smooth face with a reddish complexion and is of medium height.  When last seen he wore black clothes.  "It is alleged that Emmons is married and because of some family fifficulty he has not been living with his wife.  If he is found he will probably be held to answer for the charge of abduction.  It is a serious charge and friends and neighbors of Mr. and Mrs. Donahue will do all that is in their power to bring the man to justice."   April 1912, towanda paper.
