THE WYCKOFF HOUSE

There is to be a new hotel in Elmira.  Mr. A. Wyckoff is fitting up his block on the corner of West Water street and Railroad avenue for that purpose.  The corner store, heretofore used for a cigar and billiard place, will be put in order for an office, bar room, and barber shop, and the three stores above, in which there are seventy-five comfortable rooms, will be set apart for guests.  D.D. Holliday, of Wellsboro, Pa., is to be the landlord.  He comes to this city well recommended as a man and the keeper of a public house.  The hotel will be called "The Wyckoff House," and will be opened for the purposes for which it is intended in the course of a week or ten days.
