32nd & 33rd Degree Masons Shriners Free & Accepted Masons
All of these insignia represent 32nd and 33rd degree Masons.
In all cases they are inscribed in or applied to the tombstone itself.
These are the highest degrees in Masonry. 32nd and 33rd degree 
Masons can go on to be Shriners.

Joyce,
    I am looking at the picture of the 33rd and 32nd degree masons symbol found in cemeteries on your website.  When I looked into this symbol I found it to be an old Scottish Rite Masonic symbol.  There are slight variations but it has the eagle looking both ways and the 33 and 32 in the center of the Eagle.  Many of the addresses for these Temples are in North Carolina.
    Yours is a great site and very helpful in our cemetery researches.
