Dear Joyce,
Thank you so much for placing my 1911 photo postcard of the
Swing Gate School on your web site. I recently traveled back to the Tioga
County PA area and saw where the school once stood, of course today one
would never know it was ever there. I also had the pleasure to see where
my Great Great Grandparents once lived in Deerfield. Sadly, the house burned
in the 1930's but the barn still stands. Here is a photograph of my ancestors
in front of the house. Some of the barn can be seen in the right side of
the photograph. I managed to date this photo due to the fact that my Great
Grandmother is holding my Grandfather Herbert Newell Watkins and he was
born January of 1910. Please feel free to use this photograph on your web
site.
