My ggggparents were Pardon Austin & Hepzibah Austin (1st cousins) and had the following nine children: Simeon 1808-, Ira 1810-1878, my gggf George W. 1812-1897,; Mariett (Maryett) 1814-1896, Jennette 1820-1897, Elijah 1825-1860/65, Jeremiah  1827-1901, Dyer 1829. unk & James M. 1835-1863, All were born in Arlington, Bennington, Vermont. Pardon & Hepzibah relocated to Union Twp, Tioga Cty, NY sometime between 1850 & 1860. They were in the 1850 census of Arlington, Bennington Cty, VT and the 1860 census of Union Twp, Tioga Cty, PA. My father & his father (Fred) relocated from PA to NY state in the 1940's. My siblings and I were raised and grew up in Newark, Valley, Tioga County, New York.  This is a brief description of my Austin family. I'm attaching several photos which you're welcome to post on your web site. The 1st is of Francis & Wealthy in a horse & Buggy. Next are the seven children (with their spouses) of Francis & Wealthy. The final is a Austin family get together on the Austin homestead in Union Twp., taken about 1902. We think this the same location where their son, Stephen, held many family reunions after this one.  I would like to hear from anyone with connections to the above families. Just thought we'd say hello and compliment you once again on your wonderful TriCounties Site, which we have visited many times since we begain researching Dee's Austin family in Union Twp, Tioga County, PA in 1995/96. We eventually established Dee's Austin ancestry with the help of many other researchers and the "Austin Family Genealogical Society" of which Dee is now a member. Thanks for all the work you do.

You can get to any place on the site easily by making yourself familiar with these subject and place topics. Try them all to be as familiar with the site's 16,000 plus pages as you can. Stop groping in the dark and take the lighted path. That's also the only way you'll find the search engines for the site or have access to the necessary messages I may leave for you.
