First Generation
1. Amelia A.1 Sheive, daughter of Albert Augustus Sheive and Betsey Ann Crandall*, (#2504) was born 21 Jul 1833. Amelia died 18 Jan 1889 in Daggett, Jackson Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, at age 55. Her body was interred Jan 1889 in Jobs Corners Cemetery, Jackson Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.
She married James A. Doty before 1855. (James A. Doty is #2503.) James was born 19 JUL 1833 in New York. James was the son of Benjamin Doty and Jerusha Wright*. James died 15 FEB 1912 in Jackson Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, at age 78. His body was interred Feb 1912 in Jobs Corners Cemetery, Jackson Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.

6. Melvin N.2 Doty (Amelia A.1 Sheive) (#20946) was born BEF 1861.

Melvin N. Doty and Myrtle Bunte* had the following child:
Fred C. White, 59, of Rutland, suffered a heart attack while walking on Baldwin Street in Elmira about 12:30 p.m. Friday. He was pronounced dead on admission to St. Joseph’s Hospital ten minutes later. He was accompanied by Mrs. White and her mother, Mrs. Myrtle Doty, when he collapsed. Coroner S. Tracy Hamilton, of Elmira, said death was caused by coronary thrombosis. Mr. White was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas White and was born June 23, 1881. He was a life-long resident of this vicinity and for many years conducted a general store in Roseville. He was a member of Friendship Lodge, F & A. M., of Mansfield; the Consistory at Williamsport and the Shrine at Binghamton. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Edna White; a son, Gail Wilson, and a sister, Mrs. Clark Furman, of Ithaca, N.Y. Funeral services were held Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Rutland Baptist Church, the Rev. Orey Crippen officiating. Burial was in the Jobs Corners Cemetery.
His body was interred MAR 1941 in Jobs Corners Cemetery, Jackson Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Obituary says father was Thomas WHITE, but the Thomas J. White and Carrie Wood already in the database are just a bit too young to be the right ones. Additionally he is said to have just one sister. No brothers mentioned which rules out Thomas J. as father. I also have a newspaper clipping of a legal dispute between Fred and the Mansfield Bank in 1927. Miller book gives Carlos and Eva as parents of Fred.
He married Ida Mae Rogers * 14 Aug 1887 in Elmira, Chemung County, New York. Mansfield Advertiser 24th Aug 1887- Edward A. Doty of Daggetts Mills married Miss Ida M. Rogers at Elmira NY Aug 14th. (Ida Mae Rogers* is #32649.)
Ida was born 1866. Ida died 11 Aug 1948 at age 82. Her body was interred Aug 1948 in Jobs Corners Cemetery, Jackson Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.
Edward A. Doty and Ida Mae Rogers* had the following children:
11 ii. James E. Doty (#47289) was born 27 Mar 1894. James died 08 Feb 1962 at age 67. He married twice. He married Eldora Crum* Mar 1914. (Eldora Crum* is #47291.) Eldora was born 04 Nov 1899. Eldora died 13 May 1932 at age 32. Her body was interred May 1932 in Jobs Corners Cemetery, Jackson Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. He married Ethel Freeman* 25 Jul 1933. (Ethel Freeman* is #47292.) Ethel was born 02 May 1901. Ethel died 04 Sep 1972 at age 71. Her body was interred Sep 1972 in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Elmira, Chemung County, New York.
12 iii. S. Marie Doty (#43313) was born 13 Sep 1904. She married Leigh Griffin Grinnell BEF 1923. (Leigh Griffin Grinnell is #43077.) Leigh was born 5 AUG 1901. Leigh was the son of Henry Griffin Grinnell* and Carrie A. Sheive. Leigh died 23 DEC 1976 at age 75. His body was interred DEC 1976 in Jobs Corners Cemetery, Jackson Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.
13 iv. Elma M. Doty (#47290) was born 28 May 1907. She married Edwin G. Ramsdell* BY 1924. (Edwin G. Ramsdell* is #47340.) Edwin was born 1901. Edwin died 15 Sep 1978 at age 77. His body was interred Sep 1978 in Jobs Corners Cemetery, Jackson Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.
