Martha Ball 10 December, 1866
Litchfield, Bradford Co., PA
In the name of God Amen, I Martha Ball of Litchfield, Bradford County, PA. Being sick and weak in body but of sound mind, memory, and understanding, praise to God for it, considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof and to this end, I may be the better prepared to leave this world whenever it shall please God to call me home.
I do therefore make and declare this my last will and testament in the manner following, that is to say first and principally I command my soul into the hands of almighty God my creator, I give and bequeath to my daughter Betsey Jane one Bead and Beaddiing & six silver teaspoons. I give and bequeath to my daughter Lottie one Bead and Beadding. I give and bequeath to my son Elias one gold Watch, & large bible & candle stand. All the rest of my personal property to be divided equally with those heirs mentioned in this will and I do hereby appoint my son Elias Ball of Sheshequin, Bradford County, executor of this my will hereby revoking and making void all former and other wills by me at any time heretofore made and declare this only to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I the said testatrix have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal this tenth day of December AD 1866.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the said testatrix as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us who in her presence and at her request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witness thereto.

Personally appeared before me, C. E. Gladding, Registrar for the Probate of Wills & granting Letters of Administration in & for said County, B. Kuykendalland Pametia? Kuykendall, the two subscribing Witnesses to the written Instrument of Writing who after being duly sworn do depose and say that they were present & saw & heard Martha Ball the testatrix, sign, seal, publish, and declare the afore said instrument as her last will and testament and at the time of so doing she the said testatrix was of sound mind, memory, & understanding as they verily believe, that they signed the same at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other as witnesses and further saith not.
