DEED: March 27, 1879. Between Amaziah Gillett and S. M. Gillett, his wife of Ridgebury Township Bradford County and State of Pennsylvania of the first and Nelson Gillett of the aforesame Township County and State of the Second part… two hundred and fifty dollars…. lot piece or parcel of land and lying in the Township of Ridgebury boundary and State of aforesaid and bounded as follows. On the North by lands of Nelson Gillett, on the East by lands of Aaron Gillett, on the South by lands of Albert Dewey, on the West by lands of Hiram Dewey and Aaron Gillett and containing fifty acres of land be the same more or less. It is understood and agreed by the aforesaid parties that the aforesaid parties of the first part Amaziah and S. M. Gillett his Wife retain occupy and hold the said lot piece or parcel of land during the term of their matured lives and the party of the second part agrees to support and provide for S.M. Gillett his Mother and Wife of Amaziah Gillett in the event of her out living her husband, during the balance of her life and S. M. Gillett the Wife of Amaziah Gillett is at the death of her Husband to have the use of all the household furniture and one cow during the remainder of her natural life also to have the right to give to her son J. Mason(?) Gillett our bed at any time she desires to and at her death Nelson Gillett the party of the second part to him and forever hold all the personal property belonging to the party of the first at the time of their decease, and it agreed by the parties that the party of the second part in consideration of the foregoing Deed should pay J. Mason(?) Gillett two hundred dollars in eighteen months after the death of the said Amaziah Gillett, and pay Philanden P. Gillett ten dollars one year from the death of Amaziah Gillett, and pay George N. Gillett twenty dollars one year from the death of the same Amaziah Gillett, and Lorettie Fassett fifteen dollars one year from the said Amaziah Gillett, Sopheonia Eaton is to (be) paid by the party by the party of the 2nd part five dollars one year from the death of the said Amaziah Gillett.
