Tuesday, January 1, 1895

Very cold wind in the north. I have been down to Mr. Newells today taking care of Jennie, poor girl. I feel so sorry for her. She has been sick in bed 5 months. Mary, Ray and I have been for a sleigh ride to night. Pas has been to home alone to day.

Wednesday, January 2, 1895

Cold wind in the west. I have been down to visit Miss Minda Emery school to day. I had a very nice time. Pa and I were to Mr. Packard to supper to night. Pa has been to work there to day. I rec’d a letter from Oscar to night. He is well. Thinks he will be home soon.

Thursday, January 3, 1895

It has been a cold day. Wind in the North. I have been ironing this forenoon. Pa and I went to Alba after the mail. Went with cutter, it is not very good sleighing. It is the first time Harry has been hitched on the cutter this year. I mailed a letter to Oscar today.

Friday, January 4, 1895

Wind is in the North. It dose not get any warmer. Pa and I have been to home all day. I have not been feeling very well. It has been a long and lonlisome day. I am glad night has come at last. I rec’d a letter from DeEllie Morse.

Saturday, January 5, 1895

It is very cold the wind blows strong from the south. I have been baking this forenoon. Pa and I have been to Troy this afternoon. It is nice sleighing toward Troy. I have been in to see Jennie this eve. I got her ½ doz. oranges to day. She was very much pleased with them.

Sunday, January 6, 1895

It is a little warmer to day. Pa and I have been to home alone only a little while. This afternoon I went down to see Jennie. she is feeling a little better. I helped change her clothes and get her up in a chair. She sat up about 2 hours.

Monday, January 7, 1895

It has been raining. The snow is going off fast. Pa went to Alba. I have been washing to day. Had it all doon by noon. I was in to Mr. Packards to night.

Tuesday, January 8, 1895

It has been a warm day for the time of year but is freezing some to night. Pa has been to Troy. He went with Harry and Curt, the sleighing is all gone. I was up to Mr. Packards this afternoon.

Wednesday, January 9, 1895

It has been quite cold to day and is freezing hard to night. I have not been feeling very well to day. I have got a hard cold. Pa has been to Alba. I rec’d a letter from Oscar and also one from Julia Reed. Folks are all well. I was into see Jennie to night. She has not been feeling as well to day. Mr. Paul Freeman and Miss N____ Ayers were married to night. Both of Alba.

It is not very cold to day. It snowed some last night and is thawing some to night. The wind is in the South. Pa has been to Alba. I rec’d a letter from Mr. R. H. B. He is well. I was up to Mr. Packards this evening. I wrote to Oscar.

Friday, January 11, 1895

It is quite warm it has been thawing all day. The sleighing is gone again. I have been down to Mr. Newells. Jennie is feeling better. Frank Newell was in here to day. I rec’d two letters to day. One from Blanche Kirtland and the other from J. H. M. He is in Indanapolis Ind.

Saturday, January 12, 1895

It is quite cold. The wind is in the North. I have been baking. Pa went to Troy. He got me half doz. silver knives and forks. I was in to Mr. Newells. Jennie is not feeling as well to night. Oscar came home to night. He has been in Nickelson ever since last April. I was very glad to see him. I had not seen him since last Sept.

It is very cold to day. It snowed some last night. The wind is in the North. Dolson was here to day to dinner. Arthur and Minda were here for a call. Oscar and I were in to Mr. Newells this evening. Jennie was feeling better to night. They all appeared as if they were glad to see Oscar home again.

Monday, January 14, 1895

It is very cold. Wind is in the North. Pa has been working on the pond cutting ice. Oscar went to Alba this forenoon and to Troy this afternoon. I rec’d a letter from Blanche Scott. I have got the tooth ache. George Kiff and Edith Freeman was up to call on Oscar to night.

It is quite cold. Pa and Oscar have been working on the pond cutting ice. I have had the tooth ache all day. Mary _______ called in this afternoon. I rec’d B. K. letter. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Newell and Mr. and Mrs. Mead Thomas and baby was over and spent the evening.

Wednesday, January 16, 1895

It is very cold to day. Wind is in the West. Pa and Oscar have been cutting ice all day. I have been washing, baking and mopping. Am quite tired to night. Uncle David was up this afternoon. He is not very well. I have been having the teeth ache again to day.

Thursday, January 17, 1895

It is quite cold, wind in the northwest. It has been snowing hard to day. Pa and Oscar worked on the pond this forenoon. Oscar went up to Sam?? Cases this afternoon. Mr. Newell was in a little while to day.

Friday, January 18, 1895

It is quite cold to day. Pa and Oscar have been to Alba. I rec’d a letter from Bernice K. Mary N. called this afternoon and Carl Scott was over and spent the evening. I am going up to stay all night with Minda. Mr. Packards folks have gone up to Watsin Freemans to a reception for Mr. and Mrs. Paul Freeman.

Very cold. Pa and Oscar went to Alba this forenoon and to Troy this afternoon. I went down to Mr. Newells and helped change Jennies clothes this forenoon and have been baking this afternoon.

Sunday, January 20, 1895

It has been very cold to day. Wind in the north. Pa, Oscar and I went to Troy to church and when I went to get out of the cutter I sprained my ancle so I can’t step on it to night. The Dr. has been up to night. He said there was no bones broken but a very bad sprain. Oscar went after Blanche. She is going to stay a few days.

Monday, January 21, 1895

It is a little warmer to day so it has rained some. My foot has pained me all day. Mary Newell was here to supper to night. Mrs. Packard was down a little while to day. Uncle Joe Knight was down a little while. Mead Thomas drew wood for Pa this afternoon.

Tuesday, January 22, 1895

It is very cold. My foot has pained me very hard all day. The Dr. was up. He said it was doing as well as it could be expected. Mr. Albert Newell has been drawing wood for Pa all day. He was here to dinner. Oscar went to Troy to day. Minda was in this evening.

It has been a very cold day. Oscar and Blanche went to Troy and down to her folks and they got me some crutches. Mary Newell was in to see me. Mrs. Packard was down a little while. My foot has pained me very hard to day.

Thursday, January 24, 1895

It has been a cold day. The ther. was down to zero after 7 oclock. Pa went to Canton to day. Mary Newell was in a little while and Mr. Newell was in to see me. My foot has been very bad all day. It is all black and blue on one side.

Friday, January 25, 1895

Another cold day. Wind in the north. My foot pains me very bad. May Scott was in to see me. Allie Harris was in a little while this afternoon. Pa went over on the windfall with Mr. Newell. The State grange Lecturer spoke over there. Oscar went to Alba.

It has been a very cold day. Pa and Oscar went to Troy this afternoon. Mead Thomas and wife were over and called this afternoon.

Sunday, January 27, 1895

It has been a cold day. My foot pained me quite hard this afternoon. Oscar and Blanche went down to her house this afternoon. I have had a quite a few callers. Mr. Newell, Arthur and Dolson Packard, Mr. and Mrs. Byron Case and Lottie, Mary Newell, and Minda. Blanche brought up her violin.

Not as cold to day. My foot feels better. Blanche was down to Mr. Newells a little while. Jennie is feeling better. Pa and Oscar went to Alba this afternoon.

Not very cold this morning. It snowed this afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Scott were up here to day. Uncle David was up to night. My foot has pained me a great deal to day.

Wednesday, January 30, 1895

It has been a very cold. Mrs. Arthur Mayson called this afternoon. Alvin Scott has been here to day. Minda was down this evening. Mary Newell called in to see me. Pa and Oscar went to Alba this evening. I rec’d a letter from Blanche Kirtland.

Thursday, January 31, 1895

Bin other cold day. The ther. was below zero after 7 oclock this morning. George Kiff has been here to day. Oscar went and took him to Alba. To night Mrs. F. C. Packard and Mrs. Theador Manley and Dolson called this afternoon. Mrs. Newell called. My foot has been paining me very hard. I can’t touch it to the floor or move the ankle.

It has been very cold to day and my foot has been very bad. There has not been any body in to day. Blanche was down to Mr. Newells this afternoon.

It has been a cold day. I’m quite tired to night. We have had a good deal of company to day. May Scott was over this afternoon. Mary N. was in. Uncle David was up. Pa and Oscar went to Troy. I rec’d a letter from auntie and to night a sleigh load from Alba came up and had a party. Mrs. Kiff, Mr. and Mrs. Rolison, Mr. and Mrs. Lyons, Guy, Nellie and Lulu Lyons, Mr. and Mrs. Ward, Frank Kiff and Julia Ward, George Kiff and Gustia Rockwell and Delos and Tillie Rockwell and Minda and Mary N.

It has been very cold to day. My foot has pained me very hard all day. Over done last night. Oscar and Blanche went down to her folks. Found them all well. Mr. Newell, Mary and Ray were in to see me. George Kiff was up this afternoon.

It is very cold to day, wind blows hard. Oscar went to Alba this forenoon. Pa and Oscar have been down in the woods a cutting logs for Mr. Packard this afternoon. Mrs. Packard and Dolson were down a little while this afternoon. My foot has been very bad all day.

It has been a very cold day. Pa and Oscar have been working in the woods all day. Mary Newell was over a little while. Oscar has gone to Alba to a dance to night.

Wednesday, February 6, 1895

It has been the coldest day we have had this winter. About 6 oclock this morning the ther. was 15 degrees below zero, and we heard that in Troy it was 21 below zero. Mary Newell was over this afternoon. Minda was down this evening. Pa and Oscar have been working in the woods this afternoon.

Thursday, February 7, 1895

It has been another cold day. Pa and Oscar have been working in the woods to day. It has been snowing all the afternoon and the wind is blowing hard. It is going to be a rough night.

Friday, February 8, 1895

Another cold day. The wind blew all night and the roads are drifted full. Carl Scott was over this afternoon. Oscar, Carl, Blanche and I played euchre.

Saturday, February 9, 1895

The wind is blowing hard and has been ever since last Thursday. The roads are drifted full. Mr. Packard and Arthur was down this evening and played euchre. I guess the wind will never stop blowing.

Sunday, February 10, 1895

Another day the wind blew all the forenoon. Carl Scott was over this forenoon. Carl and Oscar went to Alba a foot. Mary N. was over this afternoon. They commenced shoveling to night. There was three lumber teams went by here to night. The first team that has been on the road since last Thursday. I never saw such deep drifts.

It has been very cold to day. Pa and Oscar have been shoveling roads. Oscar went to Troy and Pa went to Alba. My foot has pained me quite bad to day.

It has been very cold. Mary Newell was up a little while. Oscar went to Alba this evening. We have been playing euchre.

Another cold day. My foot has been quite bad. George Kiff was up this afternoon. Alvin Scott came up to night. He is a going to stay all night. Oscar and Blanche, Alvin and I have been playing euchre.

It has been a lovely day. It has thawed some. Alvin and Blanche went over to Mr. Scotts to day. Mary N. was up a little while. Oscar and Pa went to Alba. Mrs. Newell was up a little while. My foot has been very bad.

It has been a very pleasant day. The sun has been shining very bright. Pa and Oscar went to Troy this afternoon and Oscar has gone to Alba to night. Mary and Ray Newell have been up here this evening. My foot has been quite bad all day. To day is Blanches birthday. She is 18 years old.

Sunday, February 17, 1895

It has been a lovely day. Pa and Oscar went to Troy to church this morning. Art Tarbox and DeEttie Morse has been here. Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Packard and son, Miss Mary Scott, Mary Newell, Lottie Case, Minda Emery, Dolson Packard. So it has not been a very lonesome day. I do so enjoy to see friends. It is four weeks today since I sprained my ankle, and I can not touch it to the floor yet.

It has been a very nice day. My foot has been very bad all day. Mrs. Packard and Dolson were down a little while. Oscar has been shoveling roads all day. He went to Alba to night. George Kiff came home with him.

Tuesday, February 19, 1895

Another nice day. Wind in the northwest. Oscar went to Alba this forenoon and took George home and then he went to Troy this afternoon. Blanche went down with him. Mrs. Tom Scott was over a little while this afternoon. Ray was up this evening. Oscar carried the washing down to Troy to be done. Pa is about sick with a cold.

It has been a pleasant day. Oscar has been to work for A. H. Thomas. Pa feels a little better. Oscar went to Alba this evening. There has been a great deal of travel on the road to day. Mrs. Newell was up a little while.

It has been a dreary day it has snowed some and the wind has blown very hard. Oscar and I Pa went to Alba. Mary Newell was up a little while.

It is quite cold to day. My foot has been quite bad all day. Blanche went down to Mr. Newells a little while. Mr. Newell was up here a little while. Oscar has gone to Alba to a drama to night.

It is warmer to day. The snow is going off fast. The wind is in the South. Oscar went to Alba this forenoon. Went down after the Dr. for him to come up and see my foot. He is coming up in the morning. My foot has been very bad all day.

The wind is in the South. The sleighing is nearly all gone. The Dr. was up this morning. He thought my foot was very bad and that it would always be crooked if I didn't have it straitened. It has been very painful all day. Pa went to Alba this afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Newell was up this evening. Oscar has been working for Frank Newell to day.

It is real warm to day, it rain this forenoon. Dr. Smith and Dr. Davison of Canton was up this afternoon and straightened my foot. They gave me ether. Mrs. Packard was down. I am quite tired to night. They put my foot in splints. Mr. Fred Williams was here to dinner to day. Mr. and Mrs. Newell was up this evening. Mary was up a little while. Oscar worked for Frank Newell this afternoon. Minda was down this evening. Mr. Packard was in a few minutes this evening. Pa went to Alba this afternoon.

It has been a very plasant day. May Scott was over here to day. Was here to dinner. Oscar went to Alba to night. O. K. has been down to Mr. Newells this evening. My foot pains me very hard to night.

It has been quite cold to day. Pa and Oscar went to Troy this afternoon. The Dr. was up this afternoon. He thought my foot was gaining. Mr. Thomas was in to see me this afternoon. I finished my couch spread to day. Oscar made me a present of a very nice euchre deck. Minda was down this evening.

It has been quite cold to day and I have felt quite good. My foot has not ached much. Walter and Florence Reynolds and Miss Edna Manley were up to see me to day. Mary Newell was in this evening. Oscar has gone out to spend the evening.

It has not been very cold to day. Mr. Edwin Scott and Mr. Wallie Allen were up here to day. They were here to dinner. May Scott was over this afternoon. Pa went to Troy this afternoon.

It is not very cold. The wind is in the south. My foot has been very bad to day. It has ached very hard. Oscar went to Alba this afternoon. I rec’d a letter from Miss Jennie Green. Oscar has been over to Mead Thomas to night. Lizzie is very sick.

It is not very cold to day. It is cloudy and looks like rain. My foot is quite bad to day. Uncle David was up. I rec’d a letter from Mr. J. H. M. and also one from Mrs. Mott.

It has been quite cold to day. My foot aches some and my teeth feel sore and ache. Mrs. Packard was down this afternoon. Allis Harris and Orap Wilson called here this afternoon. Oscar and Blanche went down to her folks to day.

Friday, March 15, 1895

It has been quite cold to day and I have been having the teeth ache all day. Art Tarbox and his sister Del were here to dinner to day. They have gone to Sylvania. Oscar and Blanche have gone to Alba to a dance to night. Arthur Packard was down this evening a little while.

Saturday, March 16, 1895

It has been a cold day and I have had the teeth ache all day. So I am nearly crazy with it to night. Oscar and Pa have been to Troy this afternoon. Oscar got me a nice red calico wrapper. Mary N. and Lottie Case were in a little while this afternoon. Minda was down this evening. I rec’d a letter from Blanche K. to day. To day would have been my mothers birthday. She would have been 55 years old if she had lived. The Dr. was here to day.

It has not been very cold to day. My teeth have ached all day. Oscar has been after the Dr. twice and he was not home. Art Tarbox and his sister was here to day. Mrs. Byon Case was down a little while this afternoon. Mary Newell was up a little while to night.

Monday, March 18, 1895

It has not been very cold to day. The Dr. was up this morning. He gave me chloroform and pulled my tooth. May Scott was over this afternoon. George and Delos Kiff were up this afternoon. Minda was down this evening. I feel better to night, but my face is swollen very bad.

Tuesday, March 19, 1895

It has not been very cold to day. I feel quite good to day. Dr. and Mrs. Smith were up to day. He thought my foot was gaining. George Kiff was up this afternoon to bid us good by. He is going to Waterloo N.Y. to work. Expects to be gone all summer. Mr. and Mrs. Packard was down this evening. Mary Newell was up a little while.

It has not been very cold to day. My foot aches quite hard to night. Oscar and Blanche have gone down to her brothers to a sociable this evening. Minda was down and spent the evening.

It hasn’t been very cold to day. Pa and Oscar went to Alba to a sale this afternoon. It was to Jessie Greenleaf. He is going to Cal. in a few days. Allie Harris and Mrs. Jennie Newell was here this afternoon. Melinda was down this eve.

It has not been very cold to day. Pa and Oscar went to Troy this afternoon. Mr. Newell was in this evening. My foot has felt quite good to day.

It has been very cold to day. The wind is in the north. Mr. Thomas was down this forenoon. Pa went up to Meb Kiffs this forenoon. He is very sick. We had a thunder shower to night. The first one we have had this year. Oscar went down to Frank. Newell this afternoon and got 2 ½ bus. of potatoes for seed. Pa and Oscar went to Alba. Mr. and Mrs. Milton have a baby born yesterday.

Delos has come up with him is a going to stay all night. We sugared off this eve and have been playing euchre.

It was real pleasant this morning but is raining this eve. My foot has ached quite hard to day. I went out door to day for the first time since I got hurt. I walked down to the gate and back. It has rained nearly all day. Oscar came home about noon. He and Charlie B. went to Alba this forenoon. Milt Cases little baby was buried today. It was four or five weeks old.

It has not been very pleasant to day. It has been cloudy and cold. Oscar and Blanche have been to Sylvania to day. Pa and I have been home alone all day. Mr. Newell was in a few minutes this evening. It was 12 weeks ago to day since I got hurt.

It has been a lovely day. The sun has shone very bright and warm. I have been out door quite a bit to day. I walked out to the road on my crutches. Blanche has been over to Mr. Tom Scotts this afternoon.

It has been a very pleasant day. Pa and Oscar been over the mountain to day. Oscar is going to stay all night and go a fishing tomorrow. There have been 5 tramps by here this afternoon. I walked out to the barn this afternoon. Mrs. Newell was over this afternoon. Mrs. Packard was down to night. The Dr. was here to day. He brought an electric battery to use on my feet.

Auntie and Oscar went over to Meads for a call to night.

The roses are handsome, they are in full bloom. Mrs. Newell sent us over some strawberries enough for a short cake.

Oscar went a fishing this afternoon down to the pond with Mead Thomas and Mr. Becker and he has gone to Alba to night with Floyd. Pa came home to night. He is looking real well, we were all very glad to see him.

It has been a nice day. Pa and Auntie have been up on the Mt. up to Mrs. Kiffs. Frank is sick a bed. I stayed alone this forenoon and Jennie Newell came up and stayed with me this afternoon. Pleasant with a small thunder shower this P.M. Mrs. Frank Newell was over this afternoon. They are putting a telephone line through here. It runs from Genisee to Kentucky. There is about 75 men to work on it. They blast out the holes with dynamite to set the posts. They have been working in front of the house this afternoon. O.K. has gone down to Frank N. with our calf. Pa has sold it to Frank.

Pleasant but quite cold. Oscar has been to work for Frank. Uncle David was up to day. We rec'd a postal from Pa. He is at Dueshore. Five years ago to day my mother died. Oh! It has been a long five years and I have seen a great many lonely hours during that time.

It has been a fine day. Mrs. T. M. Scott called this morn and wanted Auntie and I to go over there to day. So we went. While we were gone the Rev., Miss Bailey and Mrs. Porter came up to spend the afternoon and we were gone. Oscar has been to work for Frank. Floyd was over this evening.

Pleasant but quite windy. Oscar worked for Frank this forenoon and he and I went to Canton this afternoon. I went down to see the Dr. He thought my foot gaining and that I would not have to come down any more. We rec'd a postal from Pa. He is at Overton Sul. Co.

Pleasant but quite cold. I went down to Mr. Newells this afternoon. Mary Chase was down this eve. Oscar has gone out this evening.

Monday, October 21, 1895

This morning the ground was covered in snow and some of it stayed on all day. Auntie and I washed. Our well has gone dry. I don't know what we are going to do for water. Oscar has been to work for Frank.

Tuesday, October 22, 1895

Pleasant some warmer than yesterday. I ironed this A.M. Mrs. T. M. Scott spent the afternoon here to day. Auntie sent for her to come up. Mrs. Packard called this afternoon. Auntie and I went into Mr. Newell this eve a little while. Oscar has been to work for Frank.

Pleasant. Oscar has been to work for Frank. I was down to Mr. Newells to night. Pa came home to night. He is well. We heard to day the Cards were out for the marriage of Arthur and Oras. It is going off the 7th of Nov. Mrs. Newell was here to dinner to day.

Pleasant. Oscar has been to work for Frank. Pa and I went to Troy this afternoon. I got me a new hat.

Sunday, October 27, 1895

Pleasant. Pa, Auntie and I went to Troy to church. It is the first time I have been since I got hurt. Uncle David was here to dinner to day. Oscar and I went down to Mr. Wards this evening. I was invited to come with O. K. 41 weeks to day since I got hurt.

Pleasant this forenoon. Rained this P.M. Pa went to Alba this afternoon. I went with him. Went down to Uncle Davids. O.K. has been to work for Frank.

Pleasant. O. K. home to day. We made krout this P.M. Mary Chase called down this afternoon.

Pleasant but quite cold. Pa and O. K. went to Troy this afternoon. I rode over as far as Mead Thomases. Stayed while they were gone. Uncle David was up to supper to night.

Pleasant. I went down to Mr. Newells this afternoon. Art Tarbox and DeEttie Morse were up to day. They stayed and spent the eve. Aunt Rachel Lyon is just alive. They thought she was dieing to day. O. K. has gone out to night. 42 weeks to day since I got hurt.

Monday, November 4, 1895

Pleasant. Auntie and I washed to day. Pa and Oscar went to Alba. They rented John Rollison house. We expect to move in a few weeks. They are to pay $2 a month. Mr. Packard wants this house. Arthur is to be married Thursday and is going to move in here.

Tuesday, November 5, 1895

Pleasant. Pa and O. K. went to election to day. Auntie went up to Mr. Woods this P.M. I went down to Mr. Newells. Auntie and I were invited down to Mr. Newells for tea. We went. Mrs. Webb was there. Arthur was down this eve. He came down to measure the two front rooms for carpet. I rec'd a letter from DeEttie saying Mrs. Lyon was dead. Died Sunday night 12 o'clock. Funeral to morrow.

Pleasant. Pa started out a peddling to day. He is going up toward Elmira. O. K. went to a sale up to Sylvania. Mrs. Newell and Mary were up this eve. Minda was down this eve.

Thursday, November 7, 1895

Pleasant. O. K. worked for Milt to day. Uncle David was up this forenoon and I went down home with him and we made a bbl? of kraut. Arthur Packard and Ora Wilson were married to night at 6 o'clock. Mrs. Milton Case was down to night and stayed to tea.

Friday, November 8, 1895

Pleasant very warm. Oscar worked for Frank this A.M. for Milt this P.M. Mrs. Byron Case has been down and spent the day. Was here to dinner.

Saturday, November 9, 1895

Cloudy, rained quite hard this P.M. Oscar worked for Milt this A.M. and was to home this afternoon. He and I picked up the potatoes and put them in baggs.

Pleasant but quite cold. Mary Chase was down this P.M. Oscar and I went down to Mr. Newells a little while this afternoon. O. K. has gone out to night. I can walk some with out my crutches. 43 weeks to day since I got hurt.

Pleasant but very cold. I washed and took up the kitchen carpet. Am quite tired to night. O. K. has been to work for Webb Kiff this afternoon.

Pleasant. Auntie is about sick to day. She got pretty tired yesterday. O. K. worked for Webb this A.M. and for Milt this P.M. Mrs. Packard was down this afternoon. Mrs. Newell was up this eve.

Pleasant. O. K. worked for Milt to day. He has gone up on the mountain to a party this eve. I have been taking up carpets to day. Am quite tired to night.

Pleasant. Oscar went to Alba. He and Mead with a load of hay and was to home this afternoon. Uncle David was up to day. We are quite dissapointed to night because Pa hasn't come home or written. Arthur and Ora have got back on their wedding trip.

Pleasant. It has been a fine day. We were all invited down to Mr. Newells to day. Franks folks were there, we had a very nice time. Jennie was home. She hates to have us move away. Mary Chase and Minda were down this eve. Minda gave me her pictures.

Pleasant. We have been moving to day. O. K. had Mr. T. M. Scotts team and Frank Kiff came down with his team and Gray Lyons helped to. We stayed in our old home to night for the last night. Mr. and Mrs. Packard and Dolson were down to night. Mary newell was up this afternoon.

It has been a fine day. We are living in Alba to night or merely staying, for such a looking house I never did see. Everything is first pitched in here. Mary Newell gave me her picture to day. John Rollison was in this eve. Mr. Cowel was down this eve.

Rained this morn but is colder to night. We have been working hard all day but have not made much impression. Both Andrews was in this eve for a call. O. K. has gone on the mountain to a oster supper.

It snowed some last night in the night. We have got five carpets down. Are beging to get straightened some. We rec'd a postal from Pa. He said he would be home this week. Gray Lyons stayed here last night. He came home with O. K. from the party.

Pleasant. Have been to work all day. Very hard. Mr. Newell was in to day a little while. He was going to Canton.

Rained this forenoon. Aunt Emma and O. K. went to Troy this P.M. Oscar got him a new over coat and Aunt Emma got a new fur cape. Pa came home to night. We were all glad to see him. Oscar got a duck up to Mr. Newells. We are going to have it for dinner to morrow.

Rained this morning. Oscar and I went up to Mr. Newells a little while this A.M. Oscar invited Uncle David and Aunt Emma down to dinner to day. They came. We had a very nice time. Mr. Cowel was in this afternoon. Oscar has gone out to night.

Rainy. I washed the white clothes this forenoon but did not hang them out. Auntie went up to Uncle Davids this afternoon. Stayed to tea. O. K. came home a few minutes to night. He and Floyd had been to Troy to day. Auntie rec'd a letter from Grace Buckley.

Wednesday, November 27, 1895

It has been a fine day. I finished the washing this forenoon. Pa and I went to Troy this P.M. We got two rocking chairs and 4 reception chairs that Oscar bought last Saturday. Auntie rec'd a letter from home saying Bernice Kasson was going to be married the last of next mo.

Pleasant. I ironed this A.M. and washed the sitting room windows this P.M. Misses Edith and Maud Miller were in and called this afternoon.

Pleasant. I have been washing windows all day. The A.M. Auntie and I went up to Charley Kiffs. This P.M. Mr. Hooker called this afternoon.

Not very pleasant to day. I have been to work all day. O. K. came home to night. He has been to work for Floyd.

Pleasant. I got my clothes out this afternoon and Pa and I went up into the old neighbor hood. I went to Mr. Newells and Pa went and settle up with Mr. Packard in full (28.75). Floid and Oscar came here to night. O. K. has gone on the mountain to work for Floyd.

Pleasant. I ironed to day. Mary Newell called here to day. Julia's school was out to day. O. K. called to day. He had been down with a load of wood.

Pleasant but quite cold. O. K. was down with another load of wood. Auntie went up to Uncle Davids to day.

Pleasant but cold. We rec'd a invitation to Bernice Kasson and Edwin Holcombs wedding Dec. 18th. There was a line in the envelope saying they would visit us on their wedding trip. Mrs. Witleral and Mrs. Volney Wilson called this afternoon. Uncle David was in this eve.

Pleasant but cold. Mrs. Carl Miller and her little boy called this afternoon. Mrs. Newell and Jennie came down this P.M. Jennie is going to stay all night.

Pleasant. Pa took Jennie home to day. He went with peddling wagon. He sold some medicine. I done the ironing to day. Auntie and I went up to Uncle Davids to night. To day is Pa birthday. He is 61 years old. Alvin Scott and Eva Williams are to be married to day.

Pleasant but very cold. Auntie went down to Mr. Caspers this afternoon. Pa went over to Grandville. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Kiff and Myrtle Freeman were over this evening.

Pleasant. Oscar came home this morn. Pa, Oscar and I went to Troy this afternoon. Pa got me a new coat. It is very pretty but it is all sleaves. Uncle David was down to night.

Pleasant. I washed this forenoon and went up to Uncle Davids this afternoon and helped Aunt Emma about her work. Pa went and carried O. K. up on the mountain to work but Floyd was not at home so he came back.

Pleasant but very husky. The wind blows quite hard. Mrs. Elle Porter and Rev. Miss Bailey were here to day, stayed to dinner. To day is Grand Pa McIntoshes birthday. We went up this afternoon. Auntie and I went into Mr. Wilcox this eve. O. K. came home to night.

Pleasant but very windy. John Rolison came down after us this morning for us to go up there. O. K. and Julia went with the horse and carriage. We are all going to stay all night but O. K. and Julia have gone back to night. Burt Kiff and wife, Mr. and Mrs. _______ and Mary and Belle have been here to day. There was 18 to dinner. I am tired to night.

Rainey and the wind blows hard to night. Bernice and Edwin, Oscar and Julia, Frank and I went to Morris Run and Fall Brook. We had a gay old time. It rained hard when we were coming home. The umbrella turned wrong side out. We are all going to stay to Mrs. Kiffs again to night but Pa and Auntie took the horse and carriage and went home this afternoon.

Pleasant. We were invited up to Uncle Davids to dinner to day. We went. O. K. and Julia, Edwin and Bernice and I all went to a Temperance meeting up to the Baptist church to night.

Pleasant but very cold. We all went down to Mr. Caspers this afternoon and stayed to tea and spent the evening. This is the last day of the year. It has been a long year for I have went on crutches most of the time. Aunt Alvira and Julia and Myrtie sent me a new years present. It is to put around ones shoulder while they comb their hair.
