TUSCARORA AND RUSH COMPACT
(AS COPIED BY RAYMOND COBB)
FEBRUARY 13, 185-
This Society shall be called the Tuscarora and Rush Religious Compact and
shall consist of five trustees to be distributed as near as may be among the
denominations to wit: Methodist Episcopal, Methodist Wesleyan (sic), Baptist,
and Presbyterian or Congregational churches. These Trustees shall, or a majority
of them, shall have power to transact the necessary business of the Society. The
Trustees shall be chosen annually hereafter on the first day of March. The old
ones holding their office until new ones are chosen. Any person may become a
member by signing this Compact.
