Dear Joyce, First thing on my list,is to say thank you a million times, for the outstanding work you and your assistants have done with the "Tri-County Genealogy" website! What a fantastic accomplishment! After looking at all of this information, everything else is a big disappointment for the other counties I have looked at.
Recently, I have pursued another branch of my genealogy, the Thompsons, of Gillett, Bradford County, PA. I have a wealth of information on these ancestors, including some excellent information that I found on your website recently. I am 7th generation. I printed a copy of the "Thompson Hill Cemetery" list and had the opportunity to go there this past Thursday with my two brothers. We found Thompson Hill Road and before too long, found the little family cemetery.
However,a serious omission has occurred, the original settler to Thompson
Hill in 1833, William Thompson and his wife, Sophia Houtz Thompson, have
been omitted from the cemetery list. Their obelisk tombstone is very
much there, with their names and dates on! I had no idea we
would stumble upon this, based upon the list I had printed from the website
and we were so excited! Could you please add this information to
the record:
THOMPSON
William, died March 23, 1876, age 83yrs, 10mo, 4da
Sophia H., died May 18, 1889, age 92
