Spring Hill, Tuscarora Township, Bradford County.
SARAH BOLLES BLACK.
1841 – 1874 (February 1874, age 32 years)
Family records show she was married to John H Black, March 20, 1842 – November 28, 1921. He was the son of Davis D and Sarah Marsh Black. John was buried in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Davis D was the son of Joseph and Alice Wells Black.
In regards to the Beaver
Meadows Church, of which most of my records pertain, it leads us back to Nancy
Black Bennett. Her husband Ferris Bennett was a founding member of the
Tuscarora Rush Religious Compact. Nancy was a sister to Davis D Black. Most of
the local families here seem to lead back to common ancestry, and the Wells
family was a prominent family from the Wyalusing area.
