Joyce's Search Tip - December 2007 -
Do You Know that you can search just the Bradford County Cemetery Records on the site by using the Cemeteries -Bradford button in the Partitioned search engine at the bottom of the Current What's New Page? If you use that partition follow these steps to search just one cemetery
1. Choose Cemeteries - Bradford.
2. Enter part of the cemetery name [ie Ballard or Berrytown] AND a surname.
3. Choose the Find ALL Words option. Then it will find just the pages with that surname in the one cemetery you indicated.

The Ruger Cemetery stones have all been moved to Ackley Cemetery as of September 2002. Stones only have been moved, not the burials themselves.

The Learn Farm Cemetery Lets name it the RUGER CEMETERY as some of the local folks do!

Spring Hill, Tuscarora Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. Located on the former Albert Learn Century farm.

There are only two headstones are left. The old timers tell us there were more. Again I do not  repeat rumors as to their location.

Cathrina Rugar
Wife of
Isaac Rugar
Died
November 5, 1851
Age
59 years 1 month 25 days
The second stone has a GAR flag representing the 79th PA. INF
P R Hall (maybe Philip)
He died July 10, 1865 a casualty of the Civil War

There could be some McCloe family members buried there also. No proof just rumors!

The following notes, not a complete genealogy pertain to the Ruger family and its connections to the Beaver Meadows church and cemetery.  If anyone has info they would like to share on the Halls and Rugers I would love to talk and share. They have a rich history at Beaver Meadows!
