a.k.a. Eliza Dean - Eliza was born 11 AUG 1805 in New Jersey. She migrated
with her parents and husband and other relatives to South Creek where she
lived the rest of her life farming with her husband. She was mother of
Lydia, William B., Caroline, Peter J., Emily, Mary, Phoebe, and Elmer Wellington
Dean. She died 28 July 1886, just one year after her husband. She was third
great grandmother to Joyce M. Tice

DEAN, John
- John was born 04 JUL 1803 in Mercer County, New Jersey. Jordan, Genealogies
of Northern Pennsylvania, p. 696. "John, son of John Dean (and Mary Hart)
was born in Mercer County, New Jersey, about 1790. When a boy he was indentured
to a Major Staggus, with whom he remained until of legal age, when he was
given his freedom and the customary amount of money. He married Eliza,
daughter of William Miller, of Chester County and soon after came to Bradford
County, Pennsylvania, settling at South Creek where he (they) purchased
one hundred acres of land and where he (they) lived the remainder of his
(their) years. Adjoining his (theirs) was the farm of his father-in-law
William Miller, and the latter's brother, Peter, who came about the same
time to Bradford county." John died in South Creek on 14 FEB 1885. He was
third great grandfather to Joyce M.
