Take bittersweet vines sasaparilla roots and comfrey roots of each 1
pound hog brake roots half pound avens roots and harts horn of each four
ounces white pine bark two pounds. Bruise the roots and vines slit the
horn fine put them all into good spring water enough to cover them boil
gently to one quart strain it add 1 pint of rum 1 pound of shugar two spoonsful
of ginger immersed together and then scim it get the pine bark off from
the tops of little small trees (submitted by Don Stanton)
Spavin Cure
Liniment ½ pt. Alcohol 5 cts. worth camphor gum 4 oz. kerosene oil 1 oz. amber 2 oz. spts. Turpentine

½ ounce Buchn ½ Mandrake ½ Wild Cherry Bark ½ Pervirvian ½ Elder Blows ½ Dandelian ½ Genst___ Bark ½ hops 1 pint gin add 9 quarts boiling water let stand 24 hours then strain1 lbs sugar add the gin keep in bottles
