| I was fortunate to be driving through Lawrenceville at the right time to catch this wonderful work in progress. Local artist, Tim Allen of Lawrenceville, is painting this mural of Lawrenceville 1900 on the wall of a present day business. He is using photo postcards of the era as the models for his composition, and he is retaining the beautiful sepia shades of the photos in his color scheme. This is truly something Lawrenceville will be proud of for a long time to come. I am so impressed with it, I would love to see other communities in our area do the same. By the way, if anyone wants to contact Tom, I have his business card. I will update this page next time I am through that area when the mural is finished. |
