These markers are included here only because those of you who are
joining me in this pursuit of the unusual flagholder will get fooled just as I
do. You will learn that the cemetery perpetual care markers stuck in the ground
next to a tombstone can send you into ecstasy until you realize what they are.
They come in unusual shapes and stand out for that reason, looking like
something rare and interesting. You will drive in to a cemetery, spot it
immediately and experience only disappointment when you actually read it. These
are placed by graves for which an endowment fee has been paid for perpetual
