  The Women of the Moose was founded twenty five years after the LOM as a women's auxiliary to the LOM. They are fully recognized by the LOM and able to use its lodge halls with all privileges. In 1979 its membership was 377,282.

The ritual of the WOM confers three degrees: Co-Workers, Academy of Friendship, and College of Regents.
