This indenture made the seventh day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty one between Sylvester of the Township of Granville County of Bradford and State of Pennsylvania & Susannah is of the first part & Elizabeth A. Sherman of the Township County and State aforesaid of the second part - Witneseth that the said parties of the first part - for in consideration of the sum sixty two dollars and ninety seven cents - lawful money of the United States to them in hand paid by the party of the second part - at and before the ensealing and delivering hereof the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge & thereof acquit & forever discharge the said party of the second part - her heirs executors & administrators & by these presents have granted bargained sold --?-- ?-- release & confirmed & by these presents do grant - bargain sell alien --?-- release & confirm unto the said party of the second part and to her heirs and assigns all that certain lot - piece parcel of land laying and being in the Township of Granvill County & State aforesaid to border as follows viz. beginning at a stone buried in the center of the road leading from Granville --?-- thence east ten perches along the line of a lot formerly deeded to William Hannon 32 to a stake & stones the N East corner of said lot thence north ten perches & twelve feet to a stake & stones thence west ten perches to a stone buried in the aforesaid road thence south along said road to the place of beginning containing two thirds of an acre - more or less together with all & singular the rights - liberties privileges hereditaments & appurtenances rents - issues & profits - thereof or whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and also all the estate eight - --?-- interest claim & demand whatsoever of the parties of the first part - in law or equity in to or out of the same to have and to hold the said hereditaments & premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part -
her heirs & assigns to the only proper use benefits & behoof of the said party of the second part - her heirs & assigns forever and the said parties of the first part - for themselves & for their heirs executors administrators and assigns all & singular the hereditaments granted unto the said party of the second part her heirs & assigns against them the said Taylor & Susannah his wife & their heirs & against all & every person or persons whosoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same shall & will warrant & forever defend by their presents - in witness whereof the said parties of the first part we herewith set our hand & seals the day and year above written.

Before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in & for said county personally came Sylvester Taylor & Susannah his wife the written named grantors & acknowledge the within written indenture to be their act & deed to the end that the same may be recorded so such the said Susannah being of full age & by me examined and appeared apart from her said husband did declare that she did of her own free will sign seal & deliver the same without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband
