This indenture made the seventh day of March AD Eighteen Hundred and Seventy seven Between Henry Sherman Sr. of Overton County of Bradford and State of Pennsylvania and Elizabeth his wife of the first part and Catherine Sherman wife of Henry Sherman Jr. of Overton County and State aforesaid of the second part Witnesseth That the said Grantors for and in consideration of One Dollar to them paid by the said Grantee at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and do by these presents grant bargain and sell unto the said Grantee her heirs and assigns all the following described piece or parcel of land lying and being in the Township of Overton County and state aforesaid and described as follows
Beginning at East corner on Street thence along line of lands of Hannah Sherman running West eleven perches to land of James Hannon thence South along lands of James Hannon four perches to stake thence east along lands of Henry Sherman Sr. eleven perches to above named street thence north along said street four perches to place of beginning Containing forty four perches this being a part of land by the Warrantee name of Richard Downing
Together with all the rights and privileges thereunto appertaining rents issues and profits thereof To have and to hold unto the said Grantee her heirs and assigns to the only proper use benefit and behoof of her the said Grantee her heirs and assigns forever and the said Grantors and their heirs executors and administrators do by these presents covenant and agree to and with the said Grantee and her heirs and assigns that against the said Grantors and their heirs and against all and every person lawfully claiming or to claim the same will warrant and forever defend the testimony whereof the said Grantor has hereunto set hand and seal the day and year above written.

On this seventh day of March AD 1877 before the subscriber a Justice of Peace in and for said county personally appeared Henry Sherman Sr. who in due form of law acknowledged the preceding instrument to be a free act and deed and desired it to be recorded as such and the said Elizabeth Sherman being of full age and by me examined separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of this deed made known to her declared that she had executed the same of her own free will and accord and with no coercion or compulsion on the part of her said husband
