Simeon Power, Moses Inscho, et al. to James Inscho et al.
This indenture made this twentieth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty three between Simeon Power and Polly his wife, Moses Inscho and Polly his wife, Isaiah Inscho and Catherine his wife, Asa Lincoln and Ruth his wife, Rachel Inscho, Obadiah Inscho, Solomon Inscho and Robert Inscho heirs at law of Obadiah Inscho late deceased of the County of Tioga and State of Pennsylvania of the first part and James Inscho and Thomas Inscho of the township of Lawrence in the county of Tioga and State of Pennsylvania of the second part witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of twelve hundred dollars lawful money of the United States to them in hand paid at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is acknowledged, have granted bargained and sold; aliened & enfeoffed released and confirmed; and by these presents Do grant bargain and sell; alien, enfeoff, release convey and confirm unto the said parties of the second part, their heirs and assigns, forever, all that certain lot tract or parcel of land, situate lying and being in the township of Lawrence in the county of Tioga and state of Pennsylvania Beginning at a Black Ash tree the north west corner of Warrant No. 68 Thence south eighty six degrees east forty eight perches to the middle of Tioga river thence north four degrees East thirty perches to a post Ira Kilburn's South west corner thence South eighty six degrees East one hundred twenty seven perches, thence South four degrees west thirty perches to the north line of said warrant No 68 thence South eighty six degrees east two hundred and eighty three perches to a post the north east corner of said warrant, thence South four degrees west seventy eight perches to a white pine tree – a corner of late Thomas Wilson's land thence north eighty six degrees west along said Wilson's line three hundred and sixty six perches to a Black Ash tree on the East bank of Tioga river thence north four degrees east down said river thirty perches to a post, thence north eighty six degrees west forty eight perches to a hemlock thence north four degrees east forty eight perches to the place of beginning containing two hundred and eighty four acres and one hundred and thirty perches to be the same more or less with the usual allowance of six per cent. Being a part of warrant No. 68 and 94. No 68 granted to John Wall by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by warrant dated 17th May A.D. 1785 who by deed dated the 6th day of October 1787 conveyed the same to Samuel Pleasants and the said Samuel Pleasants by deed dated the 14th day of Oct. 1806 conveyed the same to the late Obadiah Inscho deceased who died intestate on the 9th day of May A.D. 1819 leaving John Inscho Moses Inscho Polly Inscho Isaiah Inscho Levina Inscho James Inscho Rachel Inscho Ruth Inscho Thomas Inscho Obadiah Inscho Solomon Inscho and Robert Inscho heirs at law to the above described piece or parcel of land Together with all singular the ways, woods, waters, water-courses, mines, minerals, quarries, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances, whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining; and the reversions and remainders rents, issues and profits thereof; and also all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever either in law or equity, of, in, to and out of the same, and every part and parcel thereof To have and to hold the said hereby granted premises with the appurtenances, unto the said parties of the second part, their heirs and assigns to the only proper use benefit and behoof of the said parties of the second part, their heirs and assigns forever. And the said parties of the first part do for themselves their heirs executors and administrators, covenant, promise, grant and agree to and with the said parties of the second part their heirs and assigns that the above described premises with the appurtenances unto the said parties of the second part their heirs and assign, they will warrant and defend against all and every person or persons lawfully claiming afid to claim the same by from or under them or either of them. M. Dougall, Judith Power, D.R. Seelye, Buel Baldwin Tioga County State of Pennsylvania SS: Be it remembered that on the sixteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty three personally appeared before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace in and for Tioga county the above named Simeon Power and Polly his wife Moses Inscho and Polly his wife Isaiah Inscho and Catharine his wife Asa Lincoln and Ruth his wife Rachel Inscho Obadiah Inscho Solomon Inscho and Robert Inscho grantors named in the above Indenture who severally acknowledged the same to be their act and deed executed by them for the purposes therein mentioned with desire that the same be recorded as such –The wives of the several grantors above named having been examined by me separate and apart from their respective husbands acknowledged the same to be their own act voluntarily done by them without fear from or being coerced so to do by their respective husbands – let it be recorded
