THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF ELIZABETH FERRIS

Of the Township of Troy in the County of Bradford in the State of Pennsylvania.

I, Elizabeth Ferris, conceding the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind, publish this, my last will and testament in manner and form as follows:

First I will then all my first debt, as shall be by me owing at my death together with funeral expenses, all charges conducting the proving of or otherwise concerning this my will, shall in the first place, out of my personal effects and Estate, be fully paid and satisfied and after payment thereof and subject thereunto, them my will is that the real estate situated in the above said township, together with the house and other buildings on said place, I give to my daughter, Lydia Patrick. And I give and bequeath to my granddaughter, Betsy Patrick, after deducting two pair linnsy sheets, two pair linnsy pillow cases, two table cloths, coverlet, one blanket and feather bed which is to be given to my granddaughter Sarah, daughter of Nathaniel Blakesley, the residue of the household furniture which belonged to my daughter Sarah at her decease, I give to the above mentioned Betsy Patrick together with a set of knives and forks which I have purchased for her this summer. And I give and bequeath to my son, Nathaniel Blakesley, twenty dollars. I give and bequeath to my son, Ephriam Blakesley, twenty dollars. And I give to and bequeath son, Jeptha Prouty, a twenty one dollar note I hold against Ca____ Burke. And I give and bequeath to my son-in-law, Simmons Patrick, a note I hold against Joseph Albro of about twenty dollars. And further, I give and bequeath to my granddaughter, Julia Prouty, one blue and white coverlet. The residue of personal estate and effects I hold, I give and bequeath to my daughter, Lydia Patrick. And I make and ordain Jehiel McKean and John Blackwell executors of this, my last will and testament, in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the eleventh day of December in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and fifty.

Probate taken Dec. 24th 1850

Letters testamentary granted to John Blackwell and Jehial McKean upon the estate of Elizabeth Ferris late of Troy deceased they having first been duly sworn well and truly to administer upon said estate according to law given under the seal of the registers office at Towanda December 24th AD 1850. Inventory filed January 16th 1851.
