Dear Joyce,
    Enclosed are transcribed copies of the wills of my great-great grandparents, Oliver Ellsworth and his wife Mary Keith Ellsworth of Orwell Township, Bradford County, PA.   Oliver's will was difficult to read.

Will and Testament
In the name of God Amen, I, Oliver Ellsworth of Orwell, Bradford, Co.
Pennsylvania; being sick and  weak in body but of sound mind, memory and
understanding Praised be God for considering the certainty of death and the
uncertainty of life and to the end that I may be the better prepared to
leave this world whenever it shall please God to call me hence do therefore
make and declare this my last will and testament revoking and making null
and void all my wills hence to fore made and finally and principally I
commend my soul into the hands of the Almighty God My Creator hoping for
pardon and remission of all my sins and to my ? everlasting life through our
Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  My body I commit to the earth at the
discretion of my relatives and to my worldy goods I bequeath to my children
in the following manner.  That is to say I give to my son Oliver Ellsworty
Jr. the som of two hundred dollars, to my daughter Sally two hundred
dollars, to my daughter Mary two hundred dollars, to my daughter Caroline
two hundred dollars and the interest upon the above sums from the day until
they are paid and to my wife Mary, I give her, her support during her life
and after the payment of my just debts and the funeral expenses of my self
and my wife and the erection of marble slabs to each of our graves that is
to say for myself and my wife, if there should be anything left  I desire it
to be equally divided between all of my children namely James Austin, Oliver
Jr., Dewit C and Sally, Mary and Caroline and Charles and I do also hereby
appoint Chancy G. Gridley in whom I have full confidene to be my excutor of
the above will and testament.  In wintess whereof  I have - - - - - - - -  T
of my mark and seal this nineth day of January AD 1860  Oliver Ellsworth X

Letters testamentery upon the estate of Oliver Ellsworth late of Orwell dec?
ang granted to C.G. Gridley he having been first duly (?)sworn towill and
truly administer upon said Estate according to Law given under the hand and
official seal of the Register at Towanda the 12th day of October 1860.

In the name of God Amen, I Mary Ellworth being of feeble health of body and
of a sound and disposing mind and memory and being desirous to settle my
worldly affirs while I have strentgh and capacity to do, do make and declare
this my last Will and Testament whereby revoking and making null and void
any Will by me hereto fore made and justly and principally I admit my  sole
into the hands of my Creator who gave it me and my body to be buried by the
side of my late husband.  And as to my worldly goods which it hath pleased
Got to entrust me with I dispose of the same as follows.  After the payment
of my just debts and funeral expenses and the erection of aTombe Stone
similar to the one now at the grave of my late husband's grave I give and
bequeath all the rest of my property of whatsoever kind to my Grand daughter
Ellen Gillson with whom I am now living upon the condition that she takes
good care of me while I live and I appoint Chauncey G. Gridley of Orwell,
PA, my executor of the above Will and Testament given under my hand this the
Fifteenth day of Sept. 1868.  Mary Ellsworth

In the presence of Witnesses  Amos Gillson, Sophia C. Gridley
Probate made April 10, 1871

(Note: Ellen Gillson is Helen Russell Jillson wife of Amos Jillson.  She is the daughter of Sally Ellsworth and Berton Russell.)
