The following is my attempt at reading it:
Last Will and Test } The Last will and Testament of
of Elias Vaughan } Elias Vaughan of the Township of
? 1852 late of Wy- } Wyalusing in the Count of Bradford
alusing Deceased } - State of Pennsylvania where
} being of Sound mind and memory
yet sensible of the shortness of life and the certainty of Death
and wishing to make such Distribution of my personal and
Real Estate as shall seem just and right to make and
Endow (?) this my last will and Testament as follows viz
Hence (?), 1st I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Sarah one bureau (?) frame,
Bed and Bedding and the Residue of the house hold furniture
Belonging to her and two hundred dollars yearly to be paid quarterly
during her natural life as is hereafter directed and one horse and
buggy to Sarah so hence horse and buggy to go to E. R Vaughan at
her decease.
2nd to my daughters Ellen Corbin? Harriet Gamble Mary Keeler and
Amelia Day in addition to what I have already given them (?)
the sum of five dollars to be paid as hereafter directed
2rd to my son John Vaughan I give and bequeath five acres of land
from the mill (?) lot adjoining his land
3rd To my son Elias Vaughan Jr I give and bequeath twenty acres of Land
adjoining the Overton Lot.
4th To my son James Vaughan I give and bequeath the lot of land
bound by the ? the ward (?) place ? ten acres hereafter
deeded to John Vaughan
5th To my son Edward Vaughan I give and bequeath the South
part of the homestead on which I now reside as now divided
between him and Evander R Vaughan and also a small piece of Land
adjoining the Overton land about three acres more or less
6th To my son Evander R Vaughan I give and bequeath the Residue
of the homestead or farm on which I now reside including the
Buildings the stock the farming utensils belonging to the same
except which has been here to for visited and also the ?
? ? the five acres above ? to John Vaughan.
In the building given to Evander R Vaughan the bed room ? now
occupied by wife Sarah and the chamber directly overhead is reserved
for my wife Sarah during her natural life ? I do hereby direct
that my sons Edward and Evander Vaughan pay to their mother
Sarah Vaughan the sum of one hundred dollars each annually
as is ? ? in good faith to her Satisfaction and also the
legacies to their sisters half and half and all first debts
which may be due at my decease As well as all necessary
funeral expenses
And I hereby appoint my sons Elias Vaughan and Evander
R Vaughan my executors to this my last will and testament
and to hereby revoke and annul other wills and testament
henceforth made testimony where of I have ? to set my
hand and seal this 12th day of August AD 1865
