Deed Robert Mitchel to John Inscho
This Indenture made the ninth day of March in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and twenty one Between Robert Mitchel of the Township
of Laurence in the County of Tioga and State of Pennsylvania of the first
part and John Inscho of the Township of tioga and County and State aforesaid
of the second part Witnesseth that the said Robert Mitchel party of the
first part for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars Lawful
money of the United States of America and also of that of the State of
Pennsylvania to him in hand paid by the said John Inscho party of the second
part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained
sold released enfeoffed conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth
grant bargain sell release enfeoff convey and confirm unto the said John
Inscho his heirs and assigns a certain lot tract piece or parcel of land
Situate on the Tioga River in the Township of Tioga and in the County of
Tioga and State aforesaid and butted and bounded as follows (Viz) Beginning
at a Post on the bank of the Tioga River Thence north fifty degrees east
ten perches and five links along down the said River to a Post thence along
by land of the said Robert Mitchel south fifty degrees west thirty nine
perches to a Post among some little black alders thence south thirty five
degrees west along by land of William Martin and Uriah Spencer ten perches
to a Post thence along by land of the said John Inscho north fifty degrees
west forty one perches to the place of Beginning Containing two acres and
eighty perches of ground be the same more or less it being part of a larger
tract or piece of land patented by the State of Pennsylvania to Samuel
Westbrook bearing date the eleventh day of November in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen and of the Commonwealth the
fortieth Enrolled in patent Book Vol 11th page 675 a refference
to which will more fully appear and from the said Samuel Westbrook by Deed
bearing date the sixth day of March AD 1821 to the said Robert Mitchel
aforesaid Together with all and singular the Houses out Houses Buildings
Barns Stables Woods Ways Waters Watercourses Rights Liberties Priveleges
and Appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and also
all the estate right title interest use posession claim or demand of him
the said Robert Mitchel of in or to the same To have and to hold the said
piece or parcel of land hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned
to be granted with the appurtenances unto the said John Inscho his heirs
and assigns and to the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said
John Inscho his heirs and assigns for ever And the said Robert Mitchel
and Abigail Mitchel his Wife for themselves and their heirs doth hereby
covenant promise and grant to and with the said John Inscho and his heirs
and assigns by these presents that they the said Robert and Abigail Mitchel
and their heirs the said described and against all and every other person
or persons whatsoever lawfully claiming or to claim by from or under them
or any of them or any other person or persons shall and will warrant and
by these Presents for ever Defend In Witness whereof the said parties to
these presents have Interchangeably set their hands and Seals the day and

Personally appeared before me the Subscriber Robert Mitchel the person mentioned in this Indenture and acknowledged the above to be his free act and deed executed for the purposes therein mentioned this 10th Day of March AD 1821 — Also Abigail Mitchel the Wife of the said Robert Mitchel and being examined by me separate and apart from her said Husband acknowledged this Indenture to be her free act and deed executed for the purposes therein mentioned W D Bacon Justice of the Peace
