Timothy Ives, Titus Ives
John Ives & Richard Mitchel
 Tioga County September fourth one thousand eight hundred and two Articles of Agreement made this Day between Jesse Locey, Stephen Locey, Joseph Kelsey and Henry Streiter of the first part and Timothy Ives Titus Ives, John Ives and Richard Mitchel of the second part Witnesseth that we the party of the first part (viz) Jesse Locey Joseph Kelsey and Henry Streiter, do agree 
and consent to take Timothy Ives, Titus Ives, John Ives and Richard Mitchel in as equal Partners in obtaining the Land which we the Party of the first part, are now in actual possession of, to share equally alike in the advantage of our improvements in regard to a settling Right in this State, and to divide the Land between us equally according to quantity and quality and if in case any of our improvements should fall to the party of the second part, we the party of the second part do agree to pay them for the Improvements or give them the use of the Land, until we clear and get as much of their Land --?-- the party of the first under as good improvements —It is furthermore agreed that we are all (viz) both parties to pay equally alike of the --?-- which shall arise in obtaining the Land – also if we do not obtain the Land – As Witness whereof we have hereunto set our Hands and Seals this fourth day September one thousand eight hundred and two.

in witnessing and signing
