Possible brothers are Cornelius b.1794 and Issac b.ca 1798/9 or 1800.

Thanks for any help on these problems and I`ll gladly share what I have.

Seeking anyone who knows anything about these people - I have just gotten the pension file for Abraham and am trying to put the pieces together.

Abraham PALMER died May 20, 1865 while in the Army.  He is buried in the Palmer-Pease Cemetery in Middlebury Township, Tioga Cty., PA with a veteran's headstone.

His widow's pension application says he had a first wife Mary REED who died 6 May 1855.  His children by her were daughter Sarah Jane PALMER born 27 Nov. 1850 who married (1) Harvey KINNAN and (2)  George LOSEY; and son Adalbert (Adelbert?) PALMER, born 20 February 1852.
He married second wife Nancy FRENCH on 9 March 1856.  They had a daughter Florence b. 26 July 1857 (who may have married Mr. HACKETT).    David PALMER and Mary J PALMER signed an affidavit that they were witnesses to the marriage of Abraham and Nancy.  Rosannah FRENCH signed an affidavit that she was present at the birth of Florence.  How were these people related?

Abraham's widow, Nancy FRENCH Palmer married Zelotes B. Allen of Chatham twp. 26 September 1867.

I am particularly interested in finding descendants or information about Adalbert PALMER and Mary REED (where is she buried, to begin with?).

Some of this information may be on the Tri-Counties Genealogy site but I have done only a few quick searches.  I just got the pension file Friday & didn't
want to wait until the next blitz to ask if others had information.  I'll be glad to share from the pension file with other relatives of these families.

I would like to know if this Frederick Annabel had any children.  Also information on his brother, Charles, who was also a doctor would be
appreciated.

Frederick Cornelius Annable was b: January 1860 in Howard, Steuben Cty, NY and d: Bef. June 1928 in prob. Tioga Cty, PA or Chemung Cty, NY.  He was married to Bertha Katherine Dixson    who was born in1860 in PA.  They married November 22, 1893. I believe this to be the F. C. Annabel that was the Coroner in Tioga Cty , PA in about 1904-1906.  He also served as a honorary pallbearer for Dr. John A. Robinson of that county.

In the Elmira, Chemung Cty, NY directory for 1891 and 1893 is Frederic C. Annabel, physician and surgeon.  Office at 202 Pennsylvania Avenue in
Elmira.  His brother, Charles E., is also a physician and surgeon.  Tioga Cty, PA is very close to Chemung Cty, NY

Charles E. Annabel, his brother, was born November 07, 1851 in Howard, Steuben Cty, NY    and died Bef. June 1928.  He was married to Clementina
Hallett.  She was born Bet. 1853 - 1854 in Cameron, Steuben Cty, NY.  Their marriage was in 1870 in Cameron, Steuben Cty, NY.  A son, James McCready Annabel was born in 1870 in Cameron, Steuben Cty, NY and died Bef. 1880 in Cameron, Steuben Cty, NY.  Their daughter, Fanny Annable was born about 1874 in Cameron, Steuben Cty, NY.  She married an unknown Williamson. After his first wife died, Charles E. married Mary Decker Holmes who was born December 06, 1870 in Standing Stone, PA.  They wed on October 18, 1899 in Standing Stone, PA and had a son named Edward Lincoln Annable, born February 12, 1908 in MI who also died June 1967 in MI

Would love to find who Harvey's wife was, as well as Charles brother, and the maiden name of Charles wife, Altheda.   Thanks, John

1. HARVEY3 BENNETT (BENJAMEN2, AMOS1) was born 1809 in Bradford Co. PA, and died April 25, 1895.

Notes for HARVEY BENNETT:

On the 1840 Wyalusing Census, Harvey is listed with a wife, both between ages 20-30, and 2 sons under age 5, and 1 daughter under age 5. On 1860's,
70's, and 80's, Harvey lived with son Charles. Still can't locate Harvey on a 1850 Census, son Charles is listed in a work-house, or boarding house, by
himself. I am under the impression that something tragic happened between 1840 and 1850. 1880 Census lists Harvey as age 66

Also the references in a Bradford Co book "SPECULATES" that he is the son of    Benjamen & Betsy Abbott Bennett, no Proof is given, and very interesting,
his son on the 1900 Census lists him as born in IRELAND..????????

Possible interest, is on the 1840 Census, almost neighbors is a Freeman Bennet, who then appears on the 1850 Wilmot Township, very close to John &
Hannah Bennet.
Children of HARVEY BENNETT are:

2. i. CHARLES EDWARD4 BENNETT, b. February 02, 1835, Bradford Co. PA; d.Aft. 1910, Bradford Co. PA.

ii. UNKNOWN BENNETT.

iii. URSULA BENNETT, b. November 05, 1838, Bradford Co. PA; d. November 16, 1907, Bradford Co. PA.

Generation No. 2

2. CHARLES EDWARD4 BENNETT (HARVEY3, BENJAMEN2, AMOS1) was born February 02, 1835 in Bradford Co. PA, and died Aft. 1910 in Bradford Co. PA. He married ALTHEDA. She was born December 01, 1840 in New Era, Terry Twnshp, Bradford Co. PA, and died April 23, 1897 in Evergreen, Bradford Co. PA.

Looking for information on the following family.

William Baker b. 176_ m. Mary Hills b. 1776 daughter of Stephen Hills.William first appears on the 1818 assessment list of Wells Township,Bradford County, Pennsylvania. In the 1820 assessment (compiled fall of1819) they were living on warrant parcel 1411 which was a 1,060 acre tract in the northeast corner of Wells Township. Their residence was in the Hammond Creek Valley between the state line and the Tioga and Bradford County line. William was a male over age 26 and under age 45 with a family in the 1820 census enumeration of Wells and of age 50 and under age 60 in the 1830 census enumeration. William, late of Wells, died intestate 23 Sept 1834 (Bradford County Probate file 235). Mary renounced her right to administer the estate of her husband on account of "advanced age and ill health" and requested eldest son Samuel H. Baker be appointed administrator, dated 5 Feb 1835, Mary signing by signature. Inventory made 3 Mar 1835 by Caleb H. Miller and Humphrey Mosher, filed 10 Mar 1835. There were 48 notes listed in the estate ranging from $1 to $50, most of whom were Wells residents, indicating William was a man of means and prominence and able to make loans to other residents of the township. Mary was enumerated in Wells in 1840 with a daughter residing with her. Mary d. 1 Jan 1844 in Wells (obituary). Place of interment unknown.

Died in Wells, Bradford Co., Pa., on the 1st inst., Mrs. Mary Baker, aged 67 years. She was a native of Boston, and the daughter of Captain Stephen Hills, late of that city, who was one of the first to assert the liberties of his country, and brave the proud oppressors, and capture their ships, upon their boasted element. It was ever the boast of the deceased, that she always endeavored to inculcte, in the minds of her children, the principles of patriotism inbibed in her childhood. Ever the friend of suffering humanity, she departed this life without fear, and without an enemy (Elmira Gazette, Elmira, New York, January 25, 1844). A long poetic tribute, written by a son Samuel, followed.

Children:
1.  Samuel H. Baker b. c. 1801.
2.  William H. Baker, Jr., b. 1806.
3.  daughter b. 1806-10.
4.  daughter b. 1806-10.

Searching for The children of Susan WETMORE (daughter of Warren & Susan (SEAGERS) WETMORE and John MAY (son of Waldo & Orinda MAY) in 1851 in charleston Township.  I believe that John and Susan had 3 children between 1851 and 1862.  One of which could be named Amy found in Shumway Hill Cemetery near Wallace and Susan (WETMORE) CARPENTER (Wallace was marriage #2 for susan in 1862.  Amy died in 1879 and the other 2 are unknown at this time.  John MAY was the brother of Manning C. MAY.  As of 1900, the census said Susan had 6 children 4 of which were still living.  I know that Wallace and Susan had 3 children, Howard, Harry, and Rena.

Howard married Ada COOLIDGE in 1890's then Esther (MILLER) KNOWLTON in 1927 after Ada died in 1926, Howard had 2 children Howard C. and Esther G..  Harry married Alida May SMITH and had 2 children Suart and Leona.  Rena married Birney LAKE and had 1 child Eva who married Elmer G. CARSON.

Amy is buried in the LUDLOW plot and there was a Frank LUDLOW who attended Howard CARPENTER's funeral in 1941.  Desparetly looking to find these lost children of John & Susan (WETMORE) MAY.

census.  He married Maria COATES, dau Timothy and Lavina (BOYCE) COATES before 1830.  Lorenzo's father was born either in Canada or Connecticut (the 1880 census is unclear) and his mother was born in Connecticut.  About 1842 Lorenzo and his family removed to Allegan County, Michigan where they joined the COATES families who had made the move about 1837.  Any clues, Tioga County "sightings" of Lorenzo, or suggestions for further research are most welcome.

Samuel Clark was born 1752 in Ashford, Windham, Conn. He settled in Bradford Co., then part of Luzerne, before 1800. He died in a hunting accident in late 1809 not 1808 as reported in Heverley. The newspaper account says he was from Claverack(Wysox), and calls him Captain Clark. He was the brother of Benjamin Clark of Ulster.
The question is what happened to his wife and children? We know of only one son, Ebenezer Pemberton Clark of Towanda. The other children could have migrated to Indiana or Illinois with Clark relatives. Or?

Looking for information on Calvin BASTIAN. Here is the information I have on him from Census:
CENSUS
1850, Union Twp., Tioga Co., PA:
16 48 48 Bastian Calvin 40 Maine  Farmer 500 ME
17       Mary K. 35 F      PA
18       Hannah 7 F      PA
19       Charles 2 M      PA
NOTE:  Calvin is not listed in Union in 1840

1860 Union Township, Tioga Co., PA:  34 109 103
Bastian Calvin 48 M  Farmer 800 275 MA
35    Mary 43 F     PA
36    Charles 14 M     PA
37    Daniel A. 3 M     PA
38    Mary R. 4 F     PA
Calvin and Mary also had two other sons:  Joseph K. born 1852 and John W. 1859 (both buried in the Church of Christ Cemetery in Ogdensburg, Tioga Co., PA)
What else is interesting is that there was the surname "King" in the same area and Charles was given the middle name of King (maiden name of his mother?)

Any help would be appreciated.  Would like to know of additional children and where Calvin went and is buried.

Looking for information on Joseph CARY who is buried in Checkersville Cemetery in Bradford Co.  Born 1845, died 1924.  Married twice, don't know first wife (which is the one we are looking for); second wife was Matilda Parmenter.  We believe Joseph's father is William CAREY and we would like to locate who his wife was.  Here is the information I have so far:
CENSUS
1840, Springfield, Bradford Co., PA:  Wm. Cary males:  200001, females 100001= 5

1850, Springfield, Bradford Co., PA, Family #151, pg. 374:  Wm. Cary 42, farmer, $800 real estate;  Deighton 14, Mahala 13, Jason 11, Harriet 9, Joseph 5, Sephrona 2 (Sephrona then shows up again with L. G. and Emeline Newbury.  Emeline is 43 - is this Sephrona's mother maybe?  Right next door is the following family:
Parmenter Lawson 26 M 500 Farmer MA 152 374
Parmenter Harriet 21 F   NY 152 374
Parmenter Harriet 1m F   PA 152 374
Parmenter Arrabel 63 M 500 Farmer MA 152 374
And there is another Parmenter family nearby.  Possible source of where William meets Matilda?
