Robb, Levi R. |
A communication from Farmington Hill, "Gone, but missed."
Two flowers of one of our little churches have gone-- Lieut. Levi R. Robb,
died 9th April, the tenth anniversary of his uniting with the church….
"Keep up good cheer, my young friend," said the beloved President Lincoln
on coming to his bedside when visiting the hospital at City Point, the
sick and wounded soldiers of the 45th regt. "I am trying to," he replied,
looking up from his sinking condition, and these, perhaps were the dying
words of the heroic and noble young man. |
